Caffissimo Armadale — Restaurant in Armadale

After choosing our meal and paying for it, myself and my husband sat at one of the more comfortable seats along the wall ... there were dirty plates and cups from the previous customer but surely it would be noticed soon? We sat for a fair amount of time and the dirty dishes were only cleaned away because our coffees were brought to us and even then a dirty cup was left and the table wasn't wiped or cleaned. After waiting quite a considerable amount of time our lunches arrived and l could see why it took so long ... the bacon with my husbands big breakfast was almost black and disintegrated on the first touch from the fork, it must have been cooked for a long time to get it in that state. The baked beans were hard and almost cold. I had fish and chips, the chips and salad were nice ... the fish was dry and untasty. In all the time we sat there our table wasn't wiped from the first customer ... the two staff didn't muster a smile between them to anyone and seemed like they wanted to be somewhere else ... l could see their point though, l wanted to be...

Where to begin, Went in for family breakfast. It was extremely expensive, so I double checked the pricing. I was overcharged and charged for something I didn't order but they made a mistake on. When I brought it up and showed them the menu that everyone had been ordering from they had then said that menu was the wrong price, I said but if you have overcharged me with a different menu then you have also overcharged everyone else here. Plus the hidden charges they don't tell you about. An extra 1.10 to put a coffee in a mug. Most of The people were elderly, I don't know how they can overcharge everyone else there like they did me and think its ok. The staff said it was busy and that's the reason it happend yet it wasn't busy at all, the rush was over with and everyone was just sitting enjoying conversation. It was my birthday and I decided to treat myself a breakfast. On my first visit earlier this year, I thought it was the nicest coffee I'd had. Yesterday it's hard to imagine how they could make it worse. I ordered Long Black Coffee with pouring cream on the side, and bacon and eggs on sourdough. The coffee came with a tiny jug of milk, which she took back and next I get a butter dish with a squirt of aerosol cream which is horrible in coffee. It forms a scum which won't dissolve and must be scraped off. The Bacon and eggs came as a sandwich with unbuttered white toast (dry and horrible) and it had been cut in half. The yoke would have leaked if it hadn't been overcooked. It was served without utensils and when they bought me a knife and fork, they were filthy.
