Popped in today with hubby and our 1 year old for a late lunch and most of the tables were piled with dishes including the table we sat at - I asked for someone to clear ours and give it a quick wipe down when they got a chance as I ordered my meal. I waited for at least 10 minutes before I realised nobody was coming and my baby was getting fidgety and wanted to sit so I got some napkins and wet them myself at the water station so I could wipe the table and filthy high chair myself, cleared the table myself and moved the dishes onto another dish-filled table opposite us. There were no cups at the water station either
My dessert was the first to come out with our milkshakes with no spoon. The lady was so quick to rush off, I didn’t have the chance to ask her to bring one out. I went up and got one myself.
Then our child’s meal came out, which we were over-charged for. I’ll add that we said our order was incorrect after I came across it on the receipt and it was made how we wanted it. Except there was no mention of a refund. Which I had to sort out after our visit because the amount I was in and out of my chair was shocking. Anyway this meal came out with no cutlery. Second time I had to go up for cutlery”.
Our meals came out next and they were fine except if somebody specifically asks for no onions it’d be nice to give them a heads up if there are onions made into the beef patty’s. Could have been an allergy, luckily in this case it wasn’t. This was also the third time that we hadn’t been brought cutlery. Which I was pretty unhappy about at this stage.
Nobody came to check how our meals were the entire time. We were there for a good hour and not one of the tables had been cleared by the time we left.
I usually really love dining in at the coffee club but this experience was just horrible. I would like to suggest that the staff learn the menu and pricing. And if a customer asks, make sure to actually get around to wiping down and clearing their table. And make sure to take out cutlery with every meal. And keep the water station stocked.
It’s the little things that matter and add up to make a really big difference in somebody’s...
Read moreVery disappointed with my meal today. I asked for the ceasor burger with bbq sauce instead of ceasor and for the chicken and bacon to be extra well done and be extra hot as I am currently pregnant. The burger was put in a takeaway box at the front counter and went luke warm by the time I was about to sit down with it in the cafe. I also noticed that the chicken was not the usual chicken that came with the burger :( So when I asked if the chicken could be cooked longer and more well done and if they could heat the burger up more, I asked why the chicken was weird and the girl said “oh we have run out of the chicken breast fillets so we put a few tenders in there instead”.. Personally I dont like tenders, so I really wish that I was told at the counter it will be opted for a none marinated couple peices of tenders instead and I wouldn't have ordered. The burger came back with the “tenders” more well done but they just didnt taste good at all. Nothing like what I thought I was getting when I ordered it with the craving for the specific chicken that comes in that burger. Personally, I wont be...
Read moreMy sister and I are both Celiac and I am having a major surgery next week, which means I’m on a very strict diet with a long list of foods I cannot have. I ordered a salad and there we’re a few things I had to remove and ask them to replace it with other ingredients (eg, instead of the pesto dressing I asked for a teaspoon of olive oil). Not only did the staff listen to me and give me exactly what I ordered, but they also lowered the price of the salads. My sister ordered an omelet, and although there was only a couple of gluten free options, the omelette was delicious and they also lowered the price for her as she cannot have the toast. The lovely lady serving us (I think her name was Geneva) was so patient and understanding, even though it was a busy time of the day. I only wish I had known about this service earlier and I would have come to eat more salads before my surgery.
The only fault I could find is that there was not too many Gluten Free options, however the options that were there, could be...
