used to go to Hans Cafe at least 2 times per week in the shop food was amazing as was the service.
New management has taken over and its absolutely disgusting. ordered 2 times threw uber and the orders came out wrong. wife has food allergies, and they included the allergy ingredients into the meals both times approximately $120 - $130.
finally went in a couple of weeks back ordered lamb dish. which turned out to be mutton chewy like a rubber boot and the mutton tasted sour. A prawn dish which was absolutely covered in sauce however the prawns where again like rubber and tasted of chlorine? special fried rice, which was gluggy, incorporating overcooked rice and undercooked rice. Squid dish, again covered in sauce, however. the squad had no Tast and a texture of week old, rubberized chewing gum.
Fresh Vietnamese roles which are supposed to be served cool came out on a worm plate. making them limp and worm.
The can of coke was however cold and was in date can't complain there and the ice was icy can't complain there.
we had a side plate of the food between myself and wife and refused and could not eat any of the food. come time to pay the bill the schoolgirl behind the till asked how our meal was. i asked her if she wanted the Honest answer, she said yes so i gave her the honest opinion.
she then called us rued, ungrateful and verry disrespectful. and this was to be another $138 meal.
when i asked to speak to the manager she was reluctant to get him and stated he had better things to be doing with his time. he eventually came out. spoke with me. and i told him respectfully what i thought. about the food substandard ingredients and foul attitude of his staff.
he demanded that we pay for all the food that that we did not and could not eat. then told me that i always come to the Stoor and demand free food. which is a blatant lie? it was the first time i had been to the shop in over a year?
he then wanted to charge me $100 for the 2 drinks and 6 prawns. we settled on $48 and left all the left-over unaidable food at the shop basically the entire order. then i was banned from the shop for life for pointing out my issues. not even an apology or an offer to redo the order.
Cation: if you are prone to tell the truth about the food quality value for money and staffing attitudes - don't go if you have food elegies don't go you will get sick If you don't want food poisoning don't go and if you don't want to make your dog - cat sick doesn't take home the food you can't eat. our dogs even refused to eat the uber eats food from the Armadale shop and gave us a filthy look as to what they had done to deserve the food:)
PLEASE NOTE: this is not bagging all han's cafe stores. just Armadale and the Cannington shops. i do hope and am sure that there are managers who do run things properly and ethically. Armidale and Cannington management...
Read moreWe went to Hans Cafe for a family dinner. We chose that venue as we often pick up a fried rice for lunch and it's delicious. The Japanese noodles were disgusting and totally inedible. As agreed by all those people at the table brave enough to try it. The plate was still full at the end of the night despite tastings by several people. The satay beef was very very salty - obviously a sauce out of a jar poured on the meat at the end with not a vegetable in sight other than onion. The rice that we usually get for lunch was not available so we got the special fried rice which again had a few shreds of chicken and onion and no real seasonings or vegetables! It was still white. The Singapore noodles were fine. The other two dishes were well below average. Staff said so sorry but really didn't care. At all. We...
Read moreVery poor food, but excellent service. We were really looking forward to our meal, we ordered the old faithful phad thai, mee goreng and pork broken rice. Phad thai had no flavour, just tasted like plain, fried rice noodles, mee goreng was ok, but again, lacking flavour and the pork with broken rice, what a dismal effort! The soup that comes with was just chicken stock! The rice was just boiled rice, pork was ok but the salad accompaniment was one tomato, one cucumber piece and a bit of soggy cabbage. Overall not worth the money at all. Had we been dine in i would have sent it all back to the kitchen. How on earth do you mess up phad thai? Really don't see me coming back again, despite the excellent service. A good restaurant needs good food AND...
