Imperial Hotel — Restaurant in Armidale

The initial service on ordering was so friendly and polite. After an hours wait for food in an empty restaurant (Maybe others in bar?) And being told 10 mins and then another 10 mins and being rudely told that we had only ordered 55 mins instead of an hour ago ! we were about to get a refund when instantly our food was handed to me! I was told they had been busy and nothing they could do about it! There was no apology and we were treated as if we were a real nuisance. I will always go back because it's hard to find a great pub in Armidale with a welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff. There is always something happening at impies from live music to karaoke, pool and dart competitions. Not to mention they have a fantastic outdoor beer garden which is unique for a pub here in Armidale.

Nice atmosphere out the back, amazing steaks (a really great cut of meat), and would have given a five, except that our steaks were really overdone. (I ordered blue and got medium-rare verging on medium.) Still, I'll definitely go again - I'll just really emphasize how I want my steak done when...
