My family and I walked into McDonald's. We stood at the counter as we had a large order and wanted to do it verbally. The staff member walked past us twice, even though we said excuse me when she finally came to the counter. After having a nice chat with her co-worker, she fumbled out order miserably. Two other co-workers came to help. I then said to her calmly and kindly next time people come to the counter you need to come and serve them. I said I teach this as a job and you need to serve people when they are there. She said I am good at this. I am just stressed and walked away after taking out order. We as a family sit down waiting for our order and some young lady came up very rudely and said I don't know what you said to the young lady but she's crying now. Very rude. Very unprofessional explain to her or exactly what happened. She didn't want to take our explanation whatsoever so I said to her well. We ordered at the self-service kiosks, but some members of our group didn’t receive a receipt, so we asked an employee for our order number since the orders are called by number. Unfortunately, our English isn’t perfect, and instead of helping us, the staff member ignored us and walked away to serve others.
When we finally received our food, none of us got fries — we were all given hash browns instead, without any explanation. We asked about it, and the manager (an older staff member) responded rudely, saying they had no more fries, with a very unpleasant tone. There was no notice on the kiosk, and we weren’t informed beforehand.
Some of us asked for a refund for the fries, as we had already paid and didn’t want the hash browns. The manager refunded us, but with a clearly annoyed attitude. Not the kind of customer service you expect — especially from a global brand...
