Baldivis Chinese BBQ Restaurant — Restaurant in Baldivis

Visited yesterday with my daughter My daughter is a vegetarian. We both had Laksa mine was chicken, she asked if they could make a vegetarian one, was told yes Whilst eating my daughter fished a piece of chicken out of her vegetarian dish. Told the staff, who apologised and took the remaining dish away. There was no further discussion until I told the same member of staff when paying that we were unhappy with the chicken being in there Was told by a female staff member that the chicken laksa was cooked first then in the same pan with the same utensils the vegetarian dish was made and the chicken piece must of been there. She said several times that it was only a small piece. It was actually small because I had tasted it to confirm it was chicken Both my daughter and I as we have been to the restaurant on several occasions and have trusted in the staff to provide a vegetarian meal. We are horrified that the same pan that has been used for a meat dish is used without washing it There was no acknowledgement that this practice is not acceptable. Hadn't been here for a long time ( probably more than 3 years )after receiving a very average meal last time but after reading the recent reviews we decided to give them another chance. I believe they are new or newish owners and it really shows. We entered and was welcomed with a smile and the young waiter bought water over straight away with the menus. We ordered a variety of meals including roast duck which was moist and tender and roast pork which had a crispy skin and was very succulent. All the food was extremely tasty especially a favourite of mine being the stir-fry veges and Chinese mushrooms. I did however find the pepper beef to be very sweet . The meals were bought out promptly and service was exceptional . We spent $106 for all 4 of us and I felt this was great value considering the amount of food we ordered. Worse meal in my life, we have been here a number of times , and normally get there beef and chicken . But today, the Szechuan beef could not be eaten, tasted like it had Oyster sauce and soy sauce tipped over the dish mixed with the meat, strong sauce not cooked out, noticed other tables also left this dish, and complained and talked about as we also told them we agreed. .The Lemon Chicken was also like syrup, was told by staff maybe it's not too our taste, As we told staff this is not the first time we have ordered this from this restaurant, and this is not how it normally tastes..
