this is the second time I've been disappointed with food from the dome in Baldivis
Had afternoon tea there yesterday, well it was lunch for me, don't know about my Mrs order or my inlaws but I ordered a burger with the lot. First they charged for the side of chips with the burger so we corrected them as the burger came with a side of chips being $20 Now I'm assuming they had a very very new young person in the kitchen with no experience or someone else there to train them but, I had a large 1cm thick slice of tomato in the burger, the bacon had bone in it, the lettuce was 2 pieces from the base of the iceberg lettuce not the actuall lettuce leaf and the bun was a wholemeal bun which was very tough to bite through.
Do they train waiters anymore ? I mean I've never worked in a restaurant but oen thing I do know is that you don't pass food right across in front of someone, you walk around to them so the customer is right there not across the table.
If dome has hired new staff are they training them ? do they have an experienced worker supervising them ? because it doesn't look like it, maybe wannabe staff should do a 6 month course on how to serve customers before actually working in a restaurant. My son did a tafe course and they had an actuall restaurant where trainees would cook and serve customers under the guidance of the teacher
Sorry can't rate higher because I can't bring myself to eat there anytime soon if ever ... I'd rather spend $20 and go buy a large big mac meal or a kebab from Ikram with a drink and still have...
Read moreI ordered a triple macchiatto topped up and the barista gave me a flat white...I asked her to remake it, she handed me a scolding hot topped up with water diluted espresso with a dollop of over cooked foam... I asked her to remake it properly, triple shot with actual mircofoam, and on the third try, I received the coffee I ordered.
She excused herself as the supervisor and said the barista was late...
Excuse me, but as I have worked as a supervisor at a drive-through coffee shop, I know how to make coffee.
Calling yourself the supervisor is no excuse for trying to scold a customer with boiling hot water.
...and during the experience, a elderly male customer asked her if she was okay. As though I was scolding her with the hot water she put in my cup.
Come on, people, where are the consumers' rights at that point. It's not like I threw the scolding hot water at her. In fact, I was inconvenienced, and I had to ask three times for one coffee. It is shocking how that old man took her side like that. If anything, he should have kept to himself.
Funnily, the supervisor/barista apologised before her first attempt at my coffee, as though she knew she would...
Read moreI ordered a takeaway junior bacon, eggs & toastie for my daughter and this is what my husband picked up.
I take it back to the restaurant and the first thing the lady manager says is “wasn’t this served about an hour ago?”
The next thing she says is “so do you want a refund or another one”
In shock I tell her what I want is an apology for being served what looks so terrible, and that’s when she finally says a very insincere ‘I’m sorry’ and follows it with a “but I asked if you wanted another one made.”
I’ve eaten here a lot of times with family and our visitors.
Being a business owner myself I do understand that sometimes you’ll get it wrong for your customers. However, how you make them feel about the mistake is more important.
“I’m sorry this was served to you” vs “I asked if you wanted another one made”.
A better manager would not let me leave upset, they would’ve said “please let’s make it again for you, we’re sorry (and only bring up a refund after they’ve tried to placate the customer, it’s only a $7.50...
