Sweet Tooth Cafe — Restaurant in Batemans Bay

I first went to Sweet Tooth shortly after it opened and it was great. Unfortunately it seems to have gone downhill since, based on my last two visits. On my second last visit they got my order wrong. I won't go into details other than to say I only partly got what I ordered and had to send it back. My last visit was for lunch with my wife on a weekday this week. Our drinks arrived promptly but we waited half an hour for our food. It was lunchtime, yes, but it was in no way busy. (My hamburger tasted ordinary. I think it's the beef patties they use.) They seemed disorganised, which is a common theme in other people's reviews. If management could focus on this it would make a big difference and allow them to build upon their strengths, which are below.

The visual appeal of the cafè is good. It is bright and colourful, which is attractive. The food on display looks good. I cannot fault the coffee. They have blue heaven milkshakes. They are delicious but harder to come by in NSW than in Victoria, so having them is a plus. A suggestion also for the milkshakes. They are served in disposable plastic cups. I hate plastic and always feel guilty using it. I suggest the cafè serves them (for dine in customers) in the metal cup they are made in. Horrible. Disorganised mess. The shop was suppose to open yesterday 20th Feb, 2022 at 10am. Did not open! The shop did open today but With NO COFFEE, and almost everything else. I ordered an Hawaiian Hot Dog, SORRY not available, no pineapple, no bacon, oh well ok I will have a Bolanese Hot Dog, sorry no Bolanese. Oh, OK I will have Chips with cheese, that was OK, they had everything. My husband ordered Banana Split as a last resort, one of the staff ran over to get a banana and some sour cream for something else. I got half a banana, one scoop of ice cream and flavouring. It was served in the smallest of bowl, it keep spilling out when I put my spoon in. This was $13. While I realised the shop was just opening, I would have thought they at least had the basic ingredients or simply not opened. By the way the kitchen was chaotic with a tradesman trying to fix the fridge and staff treading on top...

My friend and I both got hot chocolates from here and they were such a good price and came with two marshmallows each! It was a bit sweet for my liking but I’m particular so don’t disqualify these guys for that reason. The staff were so lovely and attentive. Because it is inside the shopping centre some may prefer not to sit there and get takeaway, however there is seating if you want to eat/drink there.
