Zambrero Batemans Bay, a place I once rated highly. My recent experience, however, was a complete letdown. I ordered online—something I do for convenience since my order is pre-set—and waited 20 minutes outside in my car. When I got the notification that my order was ready, I went inside, only to stand at the counter for over 20 minutes while my pre-made food sat there getting cold. The staff ignored me as they served other customers ordering in person. I asked for my order, but they still didn’t respond. Feeling uneasy, I had to push my way to the payment terminal just to get their attention—otherwise, it seemed I’d never get my food that day. This confused other customers, who looked at me like I was cutting in line, while multiple people had their orders made and paid for ahead of me. Even after making it painfully obvious I needed help, the staff glanced at me and still chose to ignore me. One employee next to me prepared four burritos for someone else, and it wasn’t until that customer tried to pay—and I was still standing in the way, where I’d been for ages—that they finally acknowledged me. I had to ask again for my completed online order, and by then, I felt like a villain for even trying to get what I’d paid for. You desperately need a better system for picking up online orders. What’s the point of ordering ahead if you’re stuck waiting, ignored, and left with cold food? The staff’s lack of awareness and poor handling of this situation ruined...
Read moreWhat a horrible experience. Waited in line patiently for 20 minutes and then all the staff did not serve us for over 10 minutes when it was our turn. There was no one else to serve infront or behind us, I am not sure what they were doing.
At the end when they decided to serve us I asked for a discount due to this horrible service. The girl looked surprised and went to ask her manager, he said “no” apparently. I then asked to speak with him as I wasn’t happy and she came back and said “he didn’t feel like it” ???? This was a shortened version of another 10 things that blew my mind about how poor this experience was.
Who ever is the manager there is a weak person for not coming out and speaking with me, as well as not training their staff basic customer service.

While the ambiance and food quality were satisfactory, issues arose regarding the availability of drinks and the accompanying managerial attitude. My daughter requested an apple juice with her kids' meal, but I was informed that they were not stored in the fridge. I then asked for an alternative cold juice size, only to be denied by the staff. This display of inflexibility towards customer preferences was disheartening. Additionally, the chips served lacked salt, detracting from the overall taste. When I raised my concerns with the manager, their dismissive attitude was unprofessional and unwelcoming.
