The Dairy Bar is right next door to the Treat Factory, so after finishing up there a group of six of us decided to see what The Dairy Bar had to offer. The gelato flavour selection is limited but decent enough. The sundaes and Tanker Shakes sound amazing, I wish we could've tried these but they close at 4:30pm on a Saturday and they have takeaway options for these so we could sit elsewhere. In the end, I ordered a vanilla and cinnamon thick shake with added malt and it was okay. It could've done with more cinnamon for my personal tastes. Service was slow and we didn't feel welcome.

$17 for a small apple pie sundae is damn steep! Yes, there was a weekend surcharge which took the price up from $15 to $17, but I would have been more than happy to pay that if the price was reflected in the quantity. Check out the teaspoon for comparison. The first on the ingredients list was stewed apple, but there weren't any in there at all. The waitress took my cash in hand, then used the same hands to put toppings on the sundae which isn't very hygienic in my opinion... The ice cream itself was yummy at least.

The food is great. The verandah is lovely. And the staff are friendly. But the cleanliness, food safety and Covid safety practices are a little lax. The dining area was in need of a thorough clean. The milk on the bench sat there for quite some time. And despite the signs on the door saying a limit of 10 people, social distancing and please use the Covid check in, no one seemed to be adhering to these rules. That said, we have eaten there before and we will again. Try the honeycomb thick shakes - they are soooo good.

so we decided to check out this place as the usual donut shop was really packed on the easter long weekend. Arriving to the diary bar looked ok but the menu options they had was so so, i guess this place is kinda like a cafe place.

We had some snacks and a milkshake. The milkshake I liked because it was a big sized cup but we ordered the side chips and for $4 you really get a small amount. We should have ordered the basket but that was $8

Anyhow my main grip with this place is the surcharge sign they had at the counter. I can understand a business wanting to charge 10% for a public holiday but the surcharge was also for weekends as well too?? I've never seen a business do that unless maybe for a sunday but even then I can't recall so for a business to charge 10% every weekend, well thats essentially their customers because Berry gets busy on weekends and during long weekends/public holidays. If they expect to be charging 10% then as a customer I would be actually turned off and not bother coming to this place at all.

So yes been here, done that, not on my list to...

Terrible customer service, no eye contact, no greeting. We ordered lunch with drinks. My husband ordered an iced coffee with cream. Looked nice but the cream had a tangy unpleasant taste. Took it back to the counter and advised the attendant who responded with 'I don't like cream', I said it didn't taste right and it needed to be checked. She walked off and left me waiting there, I expected someone would come and talk to me, but this did not happen. I was not even asked if I would like something else or even offered an apology. When the attendant returned I just asked for a refund. Again, no eye contact! I will say the food, when it arrived was OK, but the whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth. We will not...
