Considering they call themselves Black Lab Coffee, it feels wrong to judge them on anything but the coffee and service. Every coffee or Chai I've had here has been perfect, literally mouth oozing perfect! Unfortunately their cookies aren't anything to ride home about, they're a sugar cookie with chucks of chocolate dropped on top. Seeing the choc melted and swirled through or something different would give them the edge on this tasty treat. They offer almond croissants and by the looks a few different snacks. The customer service was average. Yes they take your order and finally someone who doesn't screw it up or make a coffee that will boil your mouth off, so wuth that I am ecstatic! But I am surprised they don't ask your name when taking orders, for a local coffee shop, or any coffee shop, I find this pretty impersonal. End of the story, if you're looking for a consistently great coffee in a nice green setting, you've found your new local 👌

Not too bad little place. Seems as though they are leaving the animal association slowly behind though. WiFi: No PowerPoints: No (they have them in the sitting area but they do not work) Coffee is not too bad. Decor is modern/wooden/rustic, however seems thrown together and not overwhelmingly clean. There is a sense that things are thrown together. Staff are fairly friendly, although also seeming quite ‘thrown-together’ also, in the sense that you shouldn’t expect the regular customer service niceties, occasionally feeling that your presence is somewhat of an inconvenience to them. This review is written after quite a few visits, over time. All in all, not a bad place.. I still come here occasionally.

A pleasantly fit-out space that is roomier than it looks from the outside. Dog-friendly, with a variety of treats for dogs, as well as some for humans. The coffee was somewhat hit and miss. One iced latte was distinctly and unpleasantly bitter. The other coffee, made by someone else, was better, but still had a faint bitterness in the background.

I didn't want to do this review because reviews in my opinion are normally a waste of time. But after visiting your coffee shop three times I had to. If I could give half a star or zero stars I would. I visited your coffee shop yesterday morning for the third and last time. It was as unpleasant as the first two times I had visited. It wasn't the service that was unpleasant. Service was fine at best but it was the fact that I specifically asked for lactose free coffee and either you are cross contaminating or you just completely ignore my request. I would assume the latter given that each time out of the three times I became violently ill as a result of consuming your coffee. I just want to say, me requesting lactose free coffee isn't because I am a part of some, "trend" or I am trying to be "edgy". IT IS BECAUSE I AM IN FACT LACTOSE INTOLERANT. I have been lactose intolerant since birth. If you do not know what lactose intolerance is, it is the inability to digest lactose. A result of accidentally consuming lactose for me is becoming violently ill which is incredibly unpleasant after spending my entire morning studying since midnight and having to work through intense abdominal pains. The jokes on me for giving your coffee shop the benefit of the doubt THREE TIMES. The first time I thought it was a fluke, the second time I visited to be sure, the third time confirmed that you don't care. Albeit I visited your coffee shop out of convenience, I would rather travel a few more minutes to a coffee shop that actually cares. In the end I had to throw out 75% of my non lactose free coffee that I spent $6 on. My annoyance is through the roof with you guys and I will never return and will never advise anyone to visit your coffee shop. Hopefully you train your staff to do better and care more about people because lactose intolerance or coeliac disease or any form of intolerance is actually a medical condition and actually...

I wish I could give a lower star rating. The coffee was horrible. Burnt, bitter, and so incredibly overpowering. I've felt disgustingly ill for the last hour thanks to the coffee. Threw most of it out. Asked for a caramel iced latte. I doubt there was caramel in it at all. Had to walk back into the store and add 7 sugars just to make it tolerable. Either the barista' there do not clean group heads, run too much water, or do not clean the group heads after every coffee and let it burn to the machine. My partner's coffee was no different.

On a plus, the service was nice and it had a very welcoming and comfortable atmosphere. Only sweet thing about the experience were the dogs. Shame about the coffee. First and last time. Will stick to my...
