My wife and I recently visited Bliss Café for a quick lunch. While the lunch itself was light, the price was quite high. I didn't spend much time studying the menu and ended up ordering two little salmon bagels and a small flat white coffee. Surprisingly, this simple order cost us a hefty $41, and I’m including a picture of the receipt to show just how much prices have increased due to hyperinflation. Two years ago, this same order would have probably cost us less than 30, so we're looking at a 33% increase. It's quite staggering, and it's no wonder people are frustrated with the government's focus on other projects instead of addressing the rising cost of living.
The bagels were disappointing. They had very little salmon and were mostly filled with cheese and avocado. The combination of cheese, avocado, and salmon didn't work well together. I would have preferred a bagel with salmon, capers, and cream cheese, which is the usual combination for this type of dish. On the bright side, the coffee was decent and served in a reasonably sized cup.
As for the overall experience at Bliss, I must say that it is a pleasant place for breakfast or lunch. The atmosphere is lively and energetic, and there is plenty of comfortable seating. The service is friendly, polite, and efficient. The staff run the place efficiently, and everything seems well-organised. I also appreciate the convenient location of Bliss in the Kenmore Village Shopping Centre, which has a well-stocked Coles supermarket. You can easily spot Bliss with its distinctive dark interior design near the front entrance. The shopping centre offers ample free parking, and the toilets are clean and well-maintained.
However, despite these positives, the disappointing food and high prices made the overall experience...
Read moreI have supported Cafe Bliss for 15 years but unfortunately, today that ended. We ordered 4 ice coffees and 4 bacon and egg rolls (just under $100). The iced coffees (full price) which we have been getting for years, were tiny. We queried but were told that because we had no cream that’s the size however, like I said we have had them numerous times over the years. By the time we got home the actually drink of the iced coffee was 2 sips literally. The drink had settled and there was about 2cm deep of actually iced coffee with the foam on top. The photo is of my 10 year old holding one of the iced coffees to show how small it is. The second photo is of the drink once it had settled. This is...
Read moreGreat service, food came out quick and iced chocolate was delicious. I was extremely surprised though by the price!!!!! $13.50 for an open grill with bacon, cheese, pesto and sundries tomatoes that was basically 1 slice of toast! On the side there was one slice of tomato and 1 piece of lettuce...It was nice but I was expecting, for that price, Turkish bread or something a little bigger and more exciting..... lower your prices this is almost stealing. The lady who took my order also had to do a double take on the price.... even the iced chocolate was $7.50. TOO EXPENSIVE! $21 for 1 person for lunch, I would expect a...
