Disappointing. We used to love coopers, not so much anymore. The view and atmosphere is still lovely. The service and meals not so much. I had garlic prawn and scallop fettuccine and my fiancé a chicken schnitzel burger. For the price point not at all the quality you would expect. The chicken burger was like a nasty bland fish and chip shop special and the chips were undercooked and inedible. My pasta was not particularly nice either and the scallops were soft and squishy and tiny (the three or four i managed to find) however I must say the prawns were quite nice. It used to be such a lovely welcoming atmosphere now it felt more like it was an inconvenience to take an order (please note it was not a busy period)

Clearly we were not alone in our dissatisfaction as we over heard another table complaining to the staff about their meals at the same time we were discussing that it was disappointing to lose a good quality venue to dine at locally

TO THE OWNERS RESPONSE: I did not say you did not use real or fresh chicken breast for your burgers. I said they were bland and tasteless, likening them to the taste and quality you would expect at a fish and chip shop. In relation to the seafood in your pasta I would be reviewing how much you pay your chef or send him back to school because there was definitely not any more than 4 scallops and I assure you there were only 5 prawns. Oh and I forgot to mention the mushrooms in the dish were raw. Thank you for the offer of coffee however...

We were looking for a nice place to have lunch, drinks and coffee. We saw this cafe restaurant that appeared to be buzzing with people, so with plenty of parking we dropped in!! Wow we were pleasantly surprised to be greeted with smiles like we were regulars. Nice touch.. it was very busy being a Saturday but after ordering the food & arriving in a short time, that was great. The views were amazing and the food perfect along with the service.. Sadly we could not get my wife's drink right & after 3 attempts and free not suitable substitutes, she decided to drink water instead..😢 all she wanted was a vodka lime cordial and soda with a wedge of lime.. they had no lime cordial only lime juice and no limes at all! They kept putting lime juice in which I found out after going to the bar to investigate! However the waitress was very kind & understanding and offered another free drink.. so the wife selected a sweet wine like Moscato, yes they had! After tasting the drink, I was asked to try!? It was a dry vinegar wine like a Blanc and being a sweet drinker as well, she turned it away.. sadly the drink side of things did not work out, however the food & service certainly surpassed our expectations.. the food was amazing along with my coffee n carrot cake!! Would we return, yes for the food, but would take a bottle of lime cordial and a lime, so the wife can enjoy her...

I love the food, location and ambience of this place. Unfortunately the owner's customer service is awful so I won't return. They put meat on my vegetarian sandwich which was very inconvenient as only found out once I had reached my friends at the park. I know mistakes happen. By time I trekked back again (with my new baby) they made a fuss about it at the counter, went back through the til roll to see what was on the order and the owner told me it was my fault! I asked for something in exchange (cold in the fridge as didn't want to wait for it to be made up again) and he said I had to pay the difference as it was too expensive compared to my original order... it was $5.50 difference. For the inconvenience of having to trek back, missing lunch with my friends and explaining the situation - I felt like they should have just apologised, given me the new food and that was it. Instead the owner got angry at me in front of a big queue of people, told me I need to think about people who work in hospitality, and that the customer is not always right. The staff who work here are all lovely, but the owner has no customer service skills whatsoever. I am really disappointed that I won't be going here again, and will also be telling all of my local friends and family! Word of mouth costs a lot...
