Visited for the first time today for brunch after seeing recommendations for it on a local group. Easy to locate and in a building with its own carpark. The first sight you see is an amazing window of delectable desserts and the welcoming waiter. We sat outside, in a sheltered area with the shades down. Our food and the food of the other patrons at the other tables were uniformly gorgeous. My dining partner had the chef special of grilled asparagus and halloumi, topped with poached eggs and prosciutto. I had bruschetta with smashed avocado on ciabatta, topped with poached eggs and crispy bacon. Both our meals were so fantastic we decided to go for dessert. The lemon meringue pie was huge and the meringue was wonderful. The bread pudding had sultanas and was not overly sweet. It was spiced deliciously with cinnamon and served warm. We both had a wonderful experience between the food, environment, ambience and service. Definitely returning and a huge recommend!

My friend and I had morning tea here every week for many years. I’d had a few reactions to their ‘supposed’ gluten free options, which they denied was from their food each without any sign of an apology. The final straw was when we sold mouldy pastry which they also denied was mouldy. See photos below. She tried to say it was a reaction from the pastry from the hot caramel. She refunded the money with a bad attitude. She threw the pastry angrily into the bin. Julie

My only complaint would be the inside noise. the coffee machine was noisy and with a lot of people inside all chatting made it a bit annoying. Better off outside. Photo is of the Bread and butter pudding. Great with the warm cream. The coffee was excellent as well.

1-star is actually more than generous for our experience, however, it's reassuring to know that we are not the only people who have had the displeasure of meeting the aggresively rude, sad excuse of an owner (who I was told is also the Chef).

The cafe closes at 3pm but be aware, you will be kicked out at least 25 mins prior so that the owner can leave before then. We were told the costs of our meals were not enough to cover his staff wages so he didn't see why he would have to stay open - despite multiples signs on the shop door and internet stating the closure at 3pm.

The staff were not trained accordingly and the food is underwhelming. Be warned, you will be served sausage rolls in a paper box. The chef/owner could possibly be the dirtiest, unhygenic looking man I have seen and it highly concerns me to think of him cooking food for anyone.

[EDIT] As expected, like all the other reviews that were unfavourable towards you and your unstable husband, it’s “our behaviour that is on CCTV.” I had to voice to your husband that I would be calling the police if he did not walk away. I’m not surprised you’re so bitter, I would be too if I made stale pastries and married the man I was unfortunate enough to meet today. Your staff confirmed he is known to be aggressive and argumentative, so I’m sure this is of no surprise to you. I’ll be ensuring everyone I know is aware of the terrible reputation you have built yourselves which is clear by the responses you write to anyone who complains. I can see why the staff turnover is so high… hopefully it’s not long before the rest of the community boycotts these ignorant owners.

Lisa and Michael Wood, please stop with the defamatory false remarks as I have not made a threat to anyone and have every right to share my experience from this afternoon without you making false accusations to silence me.

The 5 new reviews you have forced people to give you in the last 24 hours are a good indication of the type of business owners you are. Very...

For a long time, I’ve been travelling far and wide around, searching for small treasures of small businesses that I continually go back to time and time again. Not just for the food but also the warmth and hospitality. Places where you can go that you instantly feel like you’re at home. It just so happened that by accident I found Cream a number of years ago, we indulged on the Italian hot chocolate, to which we still order it today, along with our favourites on the menu from their silky smooth merlo lattes, and gorgeous pastries and cakes that are always made fresh and we’ve even had these cakes specially made for special occasions. But not only is the pastries fresh and delicious, their menu goes beyond what a small local business could ever imagine putting out. With options from wood-fire pizzas, to classic eggs Benedict, not to mention the best seafood dishes I’ve eaten, along with their sweet or savoury waffles, the menu is a foodie delight. Hands down this place is hard to beat, not only this, the owner and chef have been so welcoming over the years, it is always a joy to come back to see small changes to make your palette sing, but knowing that they are still doing business where many local businesses cannot stay open for 20+ years without an amazing reputation, clean food, wholesome hospitality and all round great place to come back to again and again. So happy that all those years ago we accidentally found this place and support a local small business, I highly recommend coming here if it’s for a coffee or to order something from the menu, it will always be served with what feels like a warm hug from the kitchen! Do yourself a favour and check it out...

I have lived in 380 Cavendish Rd complex (Apartments above shops) for nearly 10 years. I have had magnificent experience at Cream Patisserie every time. So much so that I only go to Cream Patisserie for Breakfast and Lunch and never go to the Cafe next door ( Not mentioning Cafes name).

I have always found the Staff so lovely, Kind and Professional. Both the Owners Michael and Lisa have always been Fantastic. The positive experiences is of such that my Family and Friends only want to go to Cream when they come over to catch up.

The Staff, Lisa and Michael always make myself, my Family and Friends feel very welcome and have always very kind with humour.

The Food is just Fantastic from the French omelette to the breakfast🥯 or the Mediterranean burger 🍔 or very pizza 🍕, the food is alawys A class.

I look forward continuing going to Cream Patisserie for many more years.

You can always tell how good a business is when local people from the area like myself or the retires from the retirement village always go to Cream Patisserie.

5 stars wish I could give 10. Cream Patisserie is Fantastic place and I always recommend to people I know.

This is not a paid review , neither was I asked to give a positive review. I don't like my integrity question by someone that obviously does...
