Sitar Indian Restaurant — Restaurant in Brisbane City

I go here a lot with my family and the food is consistently amazing, its the only place i trust to go to for Indian cuisine. Sitar constantly delivers amazing food and service with extremely kind and caring staff which makes it one of my favorite places to eat and it will continue to be of my favorite places as it has been for many years, for anyone that is interested in going the samosas are amazing and the lamb Rogan josh curry is my favorite meal to have at Sitar, The naan is also extremely amazing with a great flavor and amazing consistency. The atmosphere provides a comfortable atmosphere and dining experience with nice lighting a beautiful interior that focuses on the Indian roots of the restaurant. The wide arrange of of options on the menu also provides a really great experience by having something for everyone, with 6 people in my family there's something for everyone to love. Hope that sitar continues to deliver greatness like i know they will, it will always remain as my favorite restaurant for their constant perfect...

Service: if you order during busy periods (eg Thurs/Fri/Sat eve) be aware that the time it takes for them to prepare you food will generally be within 1-2 hours of ordering. They will not tell you this in advance despite this being an issue for a long time. If you're ordering take-away, they will not have started preparing your food before you arrive to collect it and they will keep you waiting outside for considerable time, likely some time after you might have liked to have dinner. If you don't mind eating super late in the evening, no problem.

Food: Medium Chicken Tikka Masala, Saag Paneer Naan and Pilau Rice. Been eating it from Sitar for years. A proper dirty curry, heart disease on a plate, full of salt, whipped cream and deliciousness. Get stuck in, ignore all the people whining, this isn’t a hippie vegan cafe or a Michelin star restaurant - but we've always been generally satisfied...

Just finished a meal from here. Absolutely the best around! The food is always amazing and the people are so friendly and nice. I waited an hour for the takeaway meal, then it said delivered and enjoy your meal when it hadn’t arrived. I called and spoke to a man who was so apologetic and did everything to trace the delivery driver to find out what was what. The meal arrived just as they answered the phone and I felt bad for calling and pestering for it. He was so happy to help though and actually cared about where the meal was and took the time to explain why they were possibly running late, they wasn’t running late in the end. The meal was definitely worth waiting for anyway. It arrived so hot and fresh, the portion sizes are good, their naan breads are huge and the best we’ve tried. Easily the best restaurant in my books!
