If I could give ZERO STARS I would be giving negative 5 This place has gone well down hill we will never be back don’t even waste your money going here if your reading this review this was our second visit after we had a shocking experience last visit we came back to try again with 5 months between visits and it’s just as bad nothing has improved in that time. Our Bread was frozen in the middle when it came out and it tasted like it was a year old which is absolutely unacceptable the bread should be fresh and never frozen it was inedible, Lamb Cutlets are fatty and have no turkish flavour to them, the Guvec is salty and the meat is poor quality half of the lamb was hard and chewy same as the chicken Guvec when you have Guvec the meat should melt in your mouth, Cocktails are horrible taste like lime or mint even when you order one that doesn’t even have lime or mint in it the bar staff clearly havnt done a mixology course not worth $22 each don’t bother ordering a cocktail. And lastly I will mention our male waiter was beyond rude the female waiter was nice but the male one we had was beyond rude you do not say to customers when they are ordering food that we are ordering ALOT of food in a tone like it was a inconvenience.. it’s our choice what we want to order and if we wanted to know how much food it would be we would have asked you that remark made us feel like we were annoying for ordering three dishes… I wouldn’t think three dishes is that much food. The kind of attitude and service is disgusting. The food here is not traditional Turkish lacks flavour and meat is chewy. Drinks are no better and Service is appalling. It was a waste of money and I would like a refund for the remainder of what we paid in full. Tried to phone to speak to manger but apparently he wasn’t available sounded like I was being palmed off I wanted to do the right thing and have a chat about it but once again got the waiter that is rude and seemed as though I was inconvenient for asking to speak with the manager so I hung up and here I am writing this review instead. WE WILL NOT...
Read moreFirst time here and started off with a rude welcoming, having our table simply pointed out to us from the front of the restaurant, followed by a wide eyed look of ‘what do you want?’ as we stood there wondering if we needed menus etc. We sat down and ordered some drinks and starters, which took some time to come out. When the starters were brought out the waitress just dropped the spoon, basically threw it, and just walked off. Ordered our mains and a cheese bread, to which the bread was brought out, 10 mins later the drinks, and the mains were nowhere to be seen. Tried to get the attention of the wait staff at least 5 times to ask about our food, and they were not even remotely interested, avoiding all eye contact and ignoring us. The table next to us arrived 10 mins after us, yet already had their sarters, mains, multiple rounds of drinks etc. Sat there for about half an hour or more and not once were acknowledged. At this point we had been there for an hour and 20 minutes, Ended up walking out before we even received our mains with only having been brought out a lot of bread and some kofta balls. As we were leaving and paying for the minimal food we actually received, the wait staff could not care less that we were left waiting and hadn’t actually received what we ordered , no apologies, no effort to resolve anything, just a simple sarcastic ‘thanks guys’. Extremely poor service and the food was not worth the price, and definitely not the wait. Extremely disappointed as the reviews were great, but the wait staff definitely ruined this place, what a waste of...
Read moreFirst time visiting on a Friday night. I booked a table ahead of time via their online booking system and received an instant email confirmation and a reminder on the day. Parking can be challenging but if you're patient or willing to park away from the main strip you will get a park. Just make sure you check any signage.
The staff were friendly and attentive, giving us menus upon arrival and topping up our water. They checked on us on a number of occassions to see if we were ready to order.
We ordered the sheppards banquet that came with a trio of dips. We got to choose the dips and they came out first with dipping bread. Each dip came in a full ramekin. All the dips were yummy but I had to stop myself because I was starting to fill up. A reasonable time later, the shared main came out. Everything was delicious. I recommend getting this dish if you can convince someone else to share with you because it's big and you get to try a few different meats. The sides of rice, eggplant (to die for) and filled flat bread were appropritately seasoned and complemented the meats. We couldn't finish the meal (as we wanted to try a dessert) and was able to get a take away container. As we were already pretty full we decided to share a dessert. Part way in my gf suspected it had pistachios in it (which she is allergic to) so we flagged down a staff member to ask and indeed it was. The staff member offered to substitute her a serve of vanilla ice cream, which was really sweet. We had a lovely night and left satisfied with...
