Don’t bother, the staff certainly don’t. Ordered a coffee and toasted sandwich, both overpriced to start with. My sandwich was delivered to the wrong table, they took a bite out of it before realising it wasn’t there. Waited another 15 minutes for mine to turn up. Just dropped on the table, not a word of apology, the staff just don’t care. The sandwich was horrible. More butter in the outside of the bread than actual filling in the sandwich. Their response was ‘oh we don’t make them here’ and responsibility gone! They couldn’t care less. Given how bad the food is, look for another supplier rather than make up excuses! Spend your money in a place which has actual food and the staff want you there…which incidentally isn’t next door at sister cafe, try the next one down at hawthorn garage, at the food is real and the the staff work hard.
I’ve just read the response from the cafe, and it is a complete lie. No one apologised when the toaster was dropped to the table next to me, no one offered me a refund, no one was talking to me when I walked away.
The least you can do is admit your mistake and learn from that. The fact that you have tried to push everything back on me, just shows that you also do not care about your business, or your customers. Stop your lies, take responsibility for the actions that take place in your business and try to be better for it.

Every morning now, she wakes me up sharp, ushers me out of bed without much room for mercy, and races us through the park as fast as she can, all to get us to this quirky little cafe — and I can’t lie, it’s probably my favourite place now too.
The staff are absolutely lovely to start; their service is easily the highlight of the cafe, and the girls are always willing to chat with me AND give my dog some extra attention when they have the chance (hence the rush to arrive every morning!), but there also hasn’t been a coffee I couldn’t finish with a quickness — or one that the girls weren’t happy to adjust for me if it wasn’t quite right; they clearly know their stuff (and I’ve sampled most of the menu!).
The Toastbud toasties are mouth-watering and perfect for particularly dusty mornings, and the variety of types they provide is surprising, extending beyond just ham and cheese — I only wish there were even more.
As uni student, I’ve found myself setting up post in a corner to work on assignments sometimes too, if just for the atmosphere, and I’ll always be grateful for the girls’ patience and encouragement + more than a few chocolate freckles!

Then i asked for key to get to toilet. The girl simply reply without any explnation or apology ‘no. we have no keys. You need to go to other shops for toilet key!’ In the past they have given me key to the toilet. If they misplaced the key, they should at least offer to borrow keys from neighbouring shop for their customer rather than asking the customer to ask themself! Pure rudeness and bad customer service.
