Whilst the food was great as always the service last night really let them down.
Booked and confirmed a table for 8 for my son’s birthday dinner and was seated at a table for 6?? Luckily one set of grandparents had to pull out last minute as I don’t know how Funkateers would have fixed it as they were at capacity and 8 chairs could not have squeezed around the tiny table we were at.
Requested the wings, garlic pizza and kids pizza come asap at time of ordering. Instead we got the garlic pizza and mains pizzas all at once first up. Kids meal came a bit later.
Sister in law asked twice before they finally got their wings and we had to ask 3 times over an hour before we finally got our wings after which time we’d eaten our mains and just wanted to leave.
Very frustrating to watch tables all around us receive their wings before pizza but we had to keep chasing ours. Clearly our missing wings were not prioritised as urgent as they delivered wings to tables first who were seated after us having chasing them up. Does not make you feel a valued customer.
In the end just as I was about to ask for them to be refunded we got them. We had to get them boxed as we needed to leave as it was now past 8pm. So instead of fresh they will now be reheated in the microwave and eaten today. Disappointing for my husband who was looking forward to them last night.
Also heard another parent chasing their child’s pizza that never arrived. They too took it home boxed.
Either the ordering process/kitchen management needs to be revised or they need to put on more staff on a Friday night as it was chaotic and not a great experience when your table has to keep chasing items.
Would not recommend dining on a Friday night, too busy for the staff/kitchen to cope. Go midweek or get...

Read moreI really like this place. I have been twice now. Both times we ordered the buffalo wings. Once it came with blue cheese dipping sauce. Once not. Weird. The heat from the wings was just right, I think. Both times we ordered pizza and both times it was good. The wine was warm and not pleasant. Avoid. But the beer was excellent (we only had tap beer but they do have a lot of bottled beer). I cannot speak to the ice cream or dessert because sweet things are an abomination. Anyway, the highlight was probably the play area for children. It is large and caters well to small babies, toddlers, and older children. My daughter, who is almost one, loved it, though admittedly she mostly wanted to follow the big kids up to areas she Really Shouldn’t Go. Anyway, service is good, though the second time we were served by a very young woman who was clearly nervous, and let her nerves get the better of her. I am sympathetic, because we were all young once, and what seems so important and impactful then is hardly worth a nose scratching when older. And so like when I was sixteen I worked for a fast food company and my goodness I was constantly struggling with the words customers used and the tone and mannerisms they had. Not because they were doing anything devilish but because I saw awkwardness in all things, and wanted to be cool and calm when I was decidedly not. I had to chill. So yeah like 4 stars. Bit of screw tightening and it’d...
