Just went here tonight with my partner. Probably the last time we visit the Everton park store, might switch to chermside as we usually have a better experience there.
Arrived, placed our order at the counter but the lady at the register forgot to give us a number so after we were seated we had to go back and ask for it.
Food arrived speedily. After we took out first bite of food, staff were at our table rushing us & asking if everything was okay. Some people might love this and call it âgood serviceâ but personally I hate being interrupted by staff when I am eating/ trying to spend time with my friends/partner. Additionally, I hadnât even tried all the food yet and my mouth was clearly full. Would have been a much more pleasurable experience if staff had waited more than 5 seconds from food being delivered to ask if all was okay, and to look and see if we are talking/chowing down before running over. I really canât stress enough how much I hate forcing food down my throat to answer waiterâs questions. It would be so much better if staff were available to hail over if there are any issues rather than the current process. If I had had time to try everything I would have told the staff that the chips were HEAVILY over salted but because of the timing issue all I could do was give a thumbs up and by that point she had run off back to the kitchen.
Then, when we hadnât even finished eating, someone came over to try and take away our plates & rush us out the door. We shooed him away, but then he was watching us from afar and the second we had eaten our last chip he was back taking our plates away. Staff clearly donât know what to do with themselves, the restaurant wasnât even busy so itâs not like anyone was waiting for us to leave to be seated. Staff are so preoccupied with customer interaction but all I wanted was to sit and eat and leave, I donât want to be continuously disturbed.
Additionally I saw many tables needed wiping down and seats covered in crumbs but cleanliness doesnât seem to be a priority...

A bit of a strange experience. Iâm a huge fan of Grillâd, especially of their vegan burger range. So much so that Iâve been ordering the same burger for as long as long as itâs been available as itâs consistently good.
This was my first time dining in at this restaurant location, and the experience has left me disappointed. All other locations that I have visited have not had these same issues.
I ordered at 3:05pm. Hoping to not have to wait too long as it was noticeably quiet at this time. The person serving me appeared very rude, abrupt and as though he wasnât really listening to me.
At 3:20 I received a burger and fries. But the burger was not that of which I had ordered. After telling the server the order was incorrect, I specifically said I ordered a âVegan impossible garden goodnessâ, not the âgarden goodnessâ To which he apologised for the mistake and said theyâd have the correct burger made.
At 3:35 the remade burger came out. But it was still incorrect and not what I had specifically asked for (twice now). At this point I just decided to eat the 2nd burger as I was not in the mood to stay.
Most of the tables were also dirty (mine included) and there was a stack of plates sat on the table next to me for the entire duration of my dining experience.
I understand that this job doesnât necessarily have a great track record of treading their employees well and paying them fairly, although I would still expect more of an effort...
   Read moreI have just visited Grill'd at Everton Park, for lunch around 12:30pm 13/4/2025. We ordered three items costing $52.50. After we had just completed our last burger, the table to our right, (we were table 4). Advised to each other, they can see a cockroach in their chips. A staff member was called over and they were shown the cockroach in the chips, the staff member took a picture of the insect. The staff member advised they will replace their chips. My issue here, we did not have chips but (3) burgers, however the issue of cleanliness with-in the restaurant kitchen an insect in the food is a major health violation. Clearly the kitchen (where my food was prepared) has been contaminated!! I am not sure if the customer took this further as we left soon after this happened, but I wanted future customer's to be aware of what happened. Not only this, the nonchalant way the staff member fobbed this off and only offered another servicing of chips, is absolutely disgraceful. This is a health hazard where everyone that has eaten on the day of Sunday the 13th of April had and will be eating food there, will be eating contaminated food. There are no excuses that Can be given by any staff member this day!! And as I have eaten there, right next to the customer that was directly affected, I feel I have no choice to contact the restaurant. I am extremely disappointed that this has happened, as I eat regularly at Grill'd and indeed at this restaurant. The restaurant should be closed and the kitchen thoroughly cleaned...
