I work at Dominoâs and treating customers with courtesy is a priority however the attitude from the employees at this Hungry Jackâs was surprisingly negative. The staff seemed irritated when I asked them to repeat my order, even though they were speaking too quickly over the speaker and it wasnât even a busy time. When I paid with cash, one employee slammed the register, which gave the impression that even a simple request like asking them to repeat my order was enough to upset them, as if I had hurt their ego. I understand that paying with cash can be inconvenient, but thereâs no need to show that kind of attitude toward a customer. Not even a simple âwill you be paying with cash or card today?â was asked just pulling out the EFTPOS machine with absolutely no communication at all.
Even when the employee opened the pay window at the drive-thru, I greeted them politely, but they disregarded me and instead started talking to their workmate as if that was more important. Despite me showing courtesy, they chose not to return it, which came across as deliberate arrogance.
The desserts themselves were excellent and I really enjoyed them, but I could hear clear disappointment in the employeeâs voice when I ordered multiple desserts. That reaction was unnecessary, this is a customer service environment, and ordering items on the menu shouldnât be treated as an inconvenience. Sure, weâre all tired and want to go home after a long shift, especially when itâs almost closing time. I ordered at 8:30, just 30 minutes before closing, but when youâre working in customer service, that doesnât justify showing that type of attitude toward a customer regardless of how you argue it.
Overall, it felt like the staff made no effort to hide their attitude problems, showing irritation and arrogance over very minor things. Overall it just goes to show how something as simple as a small request can define the entire customer experience.
I know the staffâs will probably read this review and laugh it off, but I wanted to put it out there for other customers to see and judge for themselves based on...
Read moreWas an awesome Hungry Jack's about a year ago, food was allways good hear, but recently they have changed there hours, and haven't been putting up signs that actually adequately to the detail show times just sorry with a piece of paper on the drive through booth, they close earlier than pretty much every other Hjs, they start later than almost every other Hjs, the reason why I only rate 1 star is because, they haven't gone to the effort of changing there hours on the websites, it's very misleading, this is not a first time issue for me as a customer this has gone on for over a month, I have been there 5 times this month and every time, there's another issue, I do not have this issue at any other store, just deagon, eather there short staffed, or there lazy, eather way it's becoming a abit average, they also have stuffed my order up 4 times out of the 5 times I've eaten there, like it's not rocket science, I've worked in the fast food industry, it's not bloody hard, I even ask at the booth then ask at the window, and I get yes yes it's No cheese, as I can't eat cheese, but what do u know there's cheese, it's not hard to skip a single process, and if anything it should speed up there make line, eather way, having to then get out of the car, go back into the store, get them to fix the issue can take them up to 25mins as there too busy doing everyone else's food, well thing is I've allready waited for my food, then you stuffed it up and made me wait while I see every other customer get there food, and then they give you this somewhat I hate my job attitude when they give you...
Read moreI am extremely upset with Hungry Jack's at Deagon, QLD. I don't eat fast food very often and I always look forward to this special treat. On my last 2 visits to this restaurant, I have had an item left out of my order. The first time, several months ago, I got home with my take away order and my fries were missing from the bag. Tonight, I pre-ordered via the HJ's App and upon collection, I checked the bag before driving away and one of the burgers was missing. When I addressed this with the staff, I was handed the missing burger, and told apologetically that "she forget to put it in". If I hadn't checked the bag before leaving I would have again arrived home and been disappointed. However, when I got home with my food, I was very unhappy to find that not only was the food stone cold, it was also missing the extra aoli sauce I had ordered. I was furious! đĄ This store has stuffed up my order on two consecutive occasions, and when I have spent over $50 each time. I expect to get what I paid for. I now feel as though this is an intentional, deceitful ruse to rip off customers and I can picture some of the teenagers working there laughing as they eat my "forgotten" food. I won't be going to Hungry Jack's again. Worst...
