So here we go big list of things that just happened can’t believe it just happened,
ALSO i’m heavily dyslexic so my grammar and spelling is horrible and I’m using voice to text.
I’m a Ubereats driver (professional and courteous) come to pick up a delivery at 1:38 am in the morning Saturday 29th “for hungry jacks management to look up on the security cameras if you wish” I come to the door since you can’t go through the drive-through any more. I have my proper insulated bag and doing everything I’m meant to do as an Uber eats driver following the rules. I pressed the doorbell once I arrive since no one else is there, I see no staff members. I wait about 10 to 15 minutes. Press the doorbell again still can’t see anyone. Can’t see any Customer staff members come to the door or Answer the doorbell to let me know what’s going on, while I have a small spare time to wait for a long order after messaging the customer that this Hungry Jack’s is the longest to wait so it might be a little while, I’m checking emails responding to messages from family.
I then see in the corner of my eye someone is coming I show the name of the Customer to the staff member through the glass put it up near the window and then they proceeded to unlock the door, push the door out so quickly that if I didn’t pull my phone back, they would’ve knocked it out of my hand and then they proceeded to yelled at me “ something about looking at my phone and then waving at me even though you cannot see staff members behind the counter because there’s a wall and they have a camera with a microphone in it, and after they yelled at me, I calmly said “ why are you raising a voice at a random person like me?” Then they proceeded to whisper in a very uncomfortable way. “ no I wasn’t.” Then I went to just ignore that because clearly they’re not having a good day and I literally about to say this is the Customer’s order and they just cut me off and say “ something about cancelling the Customer’s order” and while saying that slamming the door in my face not physically but doing so gave me a jump scare was not expecting that and they proceeded to walk towards their front counter yelling and screaming something as if they were arguing with someone else in there.
After all that I was quite stunned and I wasn’t even sure if they were actually going to try and cancel the order which from what I know is against the contract policy to do something like that for a personal problem that they’re having that and yelling at delivery service people for just waiting for the food, so I just stood there waiting calmly looking inside hearing people yelling and then another staff member which I’ve seen a lot of times and he’s always been friendly. The guy with a white hair seem to be telling off the other person that was being unprofessional in a workplace “ I couldn’t actually hear what they were saying” but it seemed to be what was happening since that person ended up going and grabbing the food which was behind the wall somewhere and handing it to me calmly and politely clearly the female staff member was not acting correctly in there workplace.
If someone had seemed a little off or upset or just was a little bit rude. I would not say anything but because of how aggressive they were loud and physically aggressive with the company property of the building they’re working via slamming the door. I wouldn’t have to make this review. I’m also going to be contacting Hungry Jack’s upper management And I’ve already contacted Uber resources and upper management and they are putting through and escalated investigation and will be contacting Hungry Jack’s in some form.
as I’m writing this I have also noticed that the person that yelled at me has given me a negative review on my delivery account even though I am the one that’s been yelled at for no apparent reason and I have asked Ubereats to remove this review and they agreed that this is not acceptable behaviour.
I’ve also had to remove a five star happy review from two years ago to put the sub all because of one staff...
Read moreThe best way to describe my home decor is "Chez Moi de Gumtree". It's ramshackle, sure, but it's comfortable and functional. There is a sum total of 1 new furniture items, and that's only because I couldn't find what I needed second hand. Honestly, folks that know me are shocked that I purchased something new. I am (mostly) lightly mocked for my furnishing choices, most often by lady folk, ironically enough, because it was the actions and choices of 2 women in particular that imposed this situation on me, but I digress. The pleasures of this method of acquiring practical components of habitat are many fold! The hunt, the chase, the misses, the eventual capture, and then bringing your prize home yield rich memories that a souless store or cold website never will. For instance, in years to come when my son sleeps on my Gumtree freeby sofa bed, he'll think about the chat we had taking the canopy off dad's ute to pick it up, how we laughed when I realised that we didn't have to, the great job he did bolting it back on. How beautiful the winter Sunday morning was driving to Kedron to pick it up, how we dropped into HJs for a coffee and hot chocolate, how dad was silly and asked for drinks with no lettuce because they had a sign up about the lettuce shortage, how the lass that served us played along with the joke. And that was the weekend we started watching the Godfather Trilogy together. So...
Read morenice new dining area. the restaurant is open 24/7.. but the electricians seem to have forgotten to wire up the USB ports at the counter seating area so while it looked promising the delivery was poor. "oh ok, maybe the lekkies haven't done that yet?" wouldn't you test all facets of your new area before you signed off on its functionality and usability?? what if they'd been wired inside-out and shocked somebody? pls people, test all functionality before opening the area. its a basic process. next I have to place a 2nd order coz the tart I'm gonna visit wants a burger. all good but I wait 7 minutes for the damn burger so in the midst of waiting I ask for a free refill on my small lemonade. I get a curt and short "No" from the surfers dude with blonde curly hair, who doesn't even bother turning his body to face the questioning customer. well from that I deduce that service isn't a priority here. for what at worst would cost 1.5c in postmix, a customer whose patiently waiting is becoming impatient as his request had firmly been put in the not begotisble box, so here we learn that service isn't about the customer, it's about what's convenient. 1.5c it costs to satisfy. proper customer service is free, but not...
