Emma attacks loyal customers who have been there longer then she has not cool i have been in there for 15 years longer then she has but she seems to think she is god almighty i would like to buy the place( please call me with figures) as im sad to see it go down hill of what i remember of it. My kids have eaten there since they were born in high chairs and now as of two hours ago staff make fun of what you wear i will be taking it further as im disgusted in how they handle them selves note only the girls in the the bar and the way the girls all seem to gang up and what more can i say i have spent at least 200000 at this pub over my life and you get paid out for wearing a bcf hat from somebody i"ve never seen work there before jeff horn fight or not it's disgusting and told to get out out not cool be aware the matter is going further as there is no reason to make fun of what people wear this is also from other locals the place is going down so sad so sad Thanks heaps Emma. ps PLease please change the carpet in the restaurant i would think if Emma is Manager she would have done that but she might be too busy making fun of what people wear or should i say her staff but it comes down to her she is manager and not managing correctly so sad so sad call me for figures please woolworths. God forbid you do a review on a place they kick you out for that as i have found out today walking in there after 7 months and being told because ive gone to social media get out please remember this i have been there long before anybody who works there but that is besides the point now. so many better pubs that don"t have the whole of the staff making fun and ganging up on people your little refurbishment has not helped with your bad attitudes kicked out for standing up for oneself my money is far better at another venue. And after you told me to leave today after being 7 months after altercation due to going on social media i find that to be very unjust but then again maybe shaun you should get out and maybe Emma you also should...
Read moreWas here on Sunday afternoon at approximately 5pm with my friends, after being at an afternoon event to continue the celebrations and thought we would visit here for a few more drinks and something to eat. After being there for less than half an hour my friend was told she was too intoxicated and had to leave. The staff claimed she was found unconscious on the bathroom floor. She had only gone to the bathroom once when we arrived and then made her way back to the table. Less than 5 minutes later, I left again to go to the bathroom alone and came back to the table just to hear that she had be told to leave. At this point they had taken both our drinks away. While she was explaining this to me, the staff behind the bar heard and began to yell at us and tell us to leave. We then got up and as I had ordered chips and I was leaving I wouldn’t have been able to eat them as I wasn’t going to leave my friend alone outside by herself considering they told me that she had been found unconscious on the bathroom floor. First of all, if she was found unconscious on the floor why wouldn’t they have called someone to help her if she wasn’t responding? And second of all, if that were the case why would I leave her outside alone where she would be vulnerable. The man behind the bar refused to give me a refund on the food I ordered until she had left. The staff continued to not be helpful or reasonable with me or my friend and just kept telling us to leave and treating us very poorly. As much as I know you don’t care that I won’t be returning, you need to consider how you treat people in your establishment considering we are paying customers and are there to keep you in business. How was I meant to reason with your staff when they flat out refused to listen to either of what we had to say. Less...
Read moreAddendum: I have upgraded to 3 stars! Hubby went to a function here a week later for 25 people. He said everyone was satisfied with their meals, and said they were regular pub meals as you would expect. Nothing out of the box, but just as you would expect to find in any Brisbane pub. So - good on you guys for upping your game. (But sadly on the day we were there checking out the food for the function, the chef didn't seem to have her eye on the ball, and was not ready to hear that something was not quite right with the food.)
I hate writing negative reviews but I have to say lunch today was mostly left on my plate. Gotta say the staff were lovely and friendly, but the food let us and them down. My barra had clearly come out of the freezer; that’s okay but it was flat and dry like a piece of cardboard; not pleasant to eat. The hollandaise was either rancid or just made with some really odd substances. (The friend said it tasted like orange!) The chef disagreed and said it was buttery; nope, just tasted awful. Hubby said it came out of a large catering container, so I hope the rest was edible but I doubt it. She did replace it with a not too bad aioli. (Oh yes, and the mash was almost cold.) Hubby had a meat pie with onion rings. He said the pie filling was pretty good but the pastry undercooked and not nice to eat. The friend had chicken parma, which was a generous size – in fact, she took half of it home so I guess it was okay. All up, a disappointing experience though the many ladies of a certain age who were lunching would...
