Jamaica Blue Mt Ommaney — Restaurant in Brisbane City

I'm a regular Jamaica Blue coffee drinker and visitor to Mount Ommaney cafe.

Today 8/11/2024 at approx. 12:15 pm I encountered a very rude employee at the Mount Ommaney cafe location. She is skinny, Caucasian with red hair ( top bun very messy), moderate size eyes with thin eyebrows,and was the barista at the time. I went to the counter to order my medium caramel cappuccino with skim milk, takeaway. When I asked for clarification of which drink was made, she literally yelled at me. It's not my issue she cannot enunciate her words properly and uses " skinny cap". I had to clarify if there was caramel added to the drink since I ordered a medium caramel cappuccino with skim milk. She raised her voice and said it's " CINNAMON SKINNY CAP. THAT's NOT YOURS".

Now, I currently work in customer service and previously worked in hospitality but this hostile behaviour shouldn't be tolerated. I believe this employee requires more training in customer service. She literally yelled at me like an animal and definitely puts me off from visiting the cafe again. I understand the cafe is busy however to clarify drink orders shouldnt warrant shouting at customers.

I was gifted the opportunity to visit Jamaica Blue and give honest feedback on my experiences. I arrived, chose a table that needed to be cleared and waited for my friends to arrive. A team member came over and cleared the table but did not wipe the table down even though there were visible crumbs which was a but disappointing, they were quite busy though so I think it was just overlooked. I had to wait for a while for my friends to arrive because traffic and parking were quite difficult on a rainy day so close to Christmas and I was not pressured into leaving or ordering which was very refreshing. Service was very friendly and our order arrived very quickly, coffees (and babycino) were delicious, very smooth and flavourful, not at all bitter. After a while I asked for some water for our table which was happily promptly delivered, we also indulged in some chips which came out, hot and crunchy very quickly. Extremely disappointed with Food Corp CO hired new manager her name was Pat was so nice lovely with lots of experience by running her own cafe.Sad to see her go by putting her down and supervisor her name is Natasha, worst coffee she makes and using bleach beside the coffee machine which illegal to use in coffee area. Bully staff member n her angry problem in front of customers.Red head gossip to customers about staff n head office lady Crystal n HR and told to ring head office n customers to talk bad about new manager Pat.Not following health n safety rules, without wearing gloves touch cakes,scones n banana bread.
