Kent Road Bistro — Restaurant in Brisbane City

I have gone to Kent Street Bistro a few times now most recently last night for my mother’s 80th. Tim is a qualified Chef who cooks and owns the business and he clearly takes pride in everything he does. We chose from the three course fixed price menu which was delicious and excellent value. I had the scallops for an entree, wild barramundi for main and chocolate ganache for dessert but there were many other options which were also excellent. They were all perfectly cooked, full of flavour and the service was great.Being BYO it allows you to bring your favourite drinks which the staff will serve you and you can save a bit of money as well. Finally a fine dining place that has food options that meet that fine line of trying something new but still having edible food that will have you back to try another dish. The space was intimate and was easy to talk to my wife without all the noise. The seats were comfy I do recommend bringing a warm jacket. The staff are professional but personable. The food was plenty filling I couldn’t finish my side dish. The after taste on all the meals was very pleasant and had me waiting to take my next sip of wine. I can also appreciate their very affordable corkage even though they supply wine. Tonight we decided to ask for wine parings and were very happy with their options.
