What a little gem!
My partner and I were on the way back from Chermside Shopping Centre and we were both hungry so I did a quick search on google map and found this cafe with one of the most reviews and ratings, therefore we decided to give it a try.
Upon arrival, we were greeted with warmth, friendly smiles despite the hot weather with the cafe full of patrons.
First up we had a Latte (cup) and Ice Chocolate with Cream. The coffee tasted with great aroma and my partner devoured the ice chocolate (clearly indicated how great the ice chocolate was).
For our food, we ordered the Big Breakfast with Mushroom and Halloumi Stacks with Bacon. That big breakfast is a stable for many cafes out there, but I was very impressed with the quality (freshness) and presentation of the food when they arrived.
One more point for me was that the hashbrowns were homemade! You could still taste the freshness of the potatoes, although they were pan-fried, they were not as greasy as the packaged ones.
Most cafes try to cut down the preparation and cooking time by opting for frozen/packaged food, but this was clearly not the case with Little Corner Cafe!
These guys work hard to bring us the most authentic and most beautiful food they could, this is how simple food done right!
Thank you and we...
Read moreBeen wanting to come here for a while and the chance was finally here. The place was tiny but cute, with a wide range of homemade baked goods on display, from treats to pastries.
We grabbed a soy flat white, a skinny cappuccino, a mini caramel tart and an almond white choc shortbread. I liked my coffee quite much. The chocolate powder on top mutualized the bitterness of the coffee, and was not overly sweet that it overshadowed the coffee. The mini caramel tart was not just easy on the eye but also satisfying flavor wise. The shortbread was crumbly and buttery but not overly sweet. It was enormous and came in a triangle shape, with white choc and almonds visible in it. I personally preferred the shortbread to the tart, but both treats were absolutely gorgeous. Like I said, they had a very big range of baked goods, which were not pricy either. Their croissants also looked very delicious and we will come back for those some other time.
As for the service, the staff were nice and friendly. The whole place felt homy and cozy to me. It is a nice place to have a chat or date over...
Read moreBeen visiting Little Corner Cafe for ages because their coffee and food is very good. Having said that I've only given 4 stars in my review because my wife went to order a decafe coffee recently, however instead of using decafe beans the barista used decafe coffee granules to make it. After a strange look from my wife the Barista then said "we don't have decafe beans". The worst part was they then charged the standard coffee amount. I am absolutely amazed that this could be 'okay' in this day and age. If a cafe does not have decafe beans, then when ordering the coffee, the customer surely should be informed that the cafe uses granules. My wife has had decafe many times at this cafe and she is sure it was real decafe coffee. Has the cafe just run out of decafe beans or maybe changed hands recently? If so, it's a sad day because Penny did such a great job. Have to consider going elsewhere if standards have indeed dropped to the level where coffee granules...
