Koi Seafood (Fresh and Cooked) — Restaurant in Brisbane City

Not terribly impressive. There is a fairly limited variety of fresh seafood available here and the cooked items are not at all compelling. The battered code is largely tasteless, dry and the batter is more doughy than crisp. The potato cakes/scallops are amongst the worst I have ever had. They are somewhat dry and pasty and their batter is more leathery than crisp. The 'homemade' fish cakes are also quite underwhelming. There actually seems to be quite a bit of fish in them but it is coarse, dry, and largely tasteless. This is combined with lumpy potato mash, crumbed and then deep fried.
