Experience at a New Vietnamese Restaurant
I was excited to see a Vietnamese restaurant open near where I live, so I decided to visit twice to try it out.
As a fan of Vietnamese cuisine, I ordered pho noodle soup, banh mi, and salad. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing in several ways: ⢠The broth of the pho was bland and lacked depth of flavor.(meat was chewy) ⢠The pork in the crispy pork banh mi was not crispy as advertised. ⢠The portion sizes were smaller than the pictures suggested. ⢠Overall, I felt the quality of the dishes did not justify the price.
Additionally, the service and cleanliness left much to be desired: ⢠The wait time for the food was longer than expected, even though the restaurant wasnât busy. ⢠The kitchen staff didnât seem professional in their approach to preparing the dishes. ⢠The utensils and cups were not cleaned properly, and the tables were dirty despite the low traffic at the time. ⢠When we asked for chopsticks, the server told us to grab them from another table ourselves, which felt unprofessional.
This review is based on my two visits. While my experience wasnât great, I sincerely hope the restaurant improves its food quality and service in the future. I would love to see it become a great spot for Vietnamese cuisine...
Read moreOn a recent visit to Little Saigon Eatery, I tried a variety of dishes, including the chicken spring rolls and rice paper rolls filled with lemongrass chicken, lemongrass beef, and crispy pork. While the flavours were decent, I found the dishes to be somewhat underwhelming in terms of depth and intensity. That said, I appreciated that everything was made in-house, and the freshness of the ingredients was definitely noticeable.
Unfortunately, after eating, I experienced some mild stomach discomfort. Edit: (Iâm still feeling unwell the next day đ).
As for the ambiance, the restaurant offers a cozy and inviting atmosphere, especially on a sunny, breezy day. Itâs a lovely spot to relax and enjoy a meal, though the food may not be enough to bring me back in a hurry.
Overall, the restaurant has its charms, particularly with its fresh ingredients and pleasant setting, the food didnât quite leave a lasting...
