What a beautiful experience at Rise Bakery! From the moment we arrived, the ambiance, service, and food were exceptional. The marble table setting paired with expertly presented pastries and drinks made for a perfect mid-morning treat. We enjoyed a delicious almond croissant, a beautifully layered pastry with custard and chocolate (possibly a pain suisse or similar), paired with a rich hot chocolate generously topped with chocolate shavings, and a plain iced matcha — smooth, unsweetened, and full of clean, earthy flavour. A refreshing balance to the indulgent pastries. But what truly made the visit memorable was the wonderful service from Marcia. Her warm smile, attention to detail, and kind presence elevated the entire experience. It’s always lovely when a place not only serves great food, but also has people who make you feel genuinely welcome. Thank you, Marcia, and thank you, Rise Bakery, for a delightful visit. We’ll definitely be back!

Service was absolutely atrocious, ham and cheese croissant was nice and coffee was ok but when leaving with my 6 year old daughter and she wanted to thank the Colombian boy who made our coffee and practice her Spanish he turned away from her and I and just ignored us. It broke my daughters heart, he had no other orders to prepare or do anything, he turned to a girl that worked with him and they were just talking, and we were approached by another worker who asked can he help and I said no my daughter just wanted to thank the man and he didn’t even acknowledge it and walked away. Truly a disgusting display of service from the staff and would not recommend this place to anyone. Absolutely disgusting, go back and look at your video footage and you will see that we approached the barrista and he would not acknowledge us and turned away as I said, so no I won't remove it as I'm not lying

šŸ“Rise Bakery Portside Wharf, Shop 7.01F/39 Hercules St, Hamilton QLD 4007 Speaking of pastries, Brisbane really has a lot to offer!ā¤ļø This particular one is located in Hamilton, and the interior design is inspired by Italian palace style. Unfortunately, I arrived late — by 10:45, the apple turnover pies were already sold out! Luckily, there were still two Lunettes left — croissant filled with vanilla custard — which was also really good! It was not too sweet, and pairs perfectly with a cappuccino. The look of it also has my heart and not to mention, they added chocolate flakes to the cappuccino — most places I’ve tried usually only add chocolate powder instead. Altogether, it costed $12. If you haven’t been there yet, it’s time to check it out!šŸ„āļø

We were there late in the morning for take away. Consider the fact that all the pastries were baked early in the morning, the crossaint was ordinary for its price of $6, not crusty outside anymore, and inside is still soft, the butter quality is up to standard.

However, the service we received was ridiculous. The blonde curvy lady standing next to the cash register wasn't very good hospitality material. We greeted her first as she was just staring at us when we were deciding what to order. Instead of asking for the order after we greeted her, she gave us a hand gesture with her palm up showing like " What do you want?" without even talking. After we ordered, she quickly put the order in the register, and without asking if we wanted anything else or the payment type, she just stared at the EFTPOS mechanic waiting for us to pay. When I handed out the cash to get her attention back from the EFTPOS mechanic, she just looked frustrated and walked away to another cash register ( which I understand we did put extra 8 steps for her to do for finishing this order, but it wasn't a busy time at all, and no one else was waiting).

We got the food, and I'm pretty sure there's no 'goodbye' what so ever after we said 'Have a good day.' before we left.

I don't think I'll go back again as the pasties were not impressive, and the service was poor that I definitely think the lady is unfit to be a front...

My experience at this cafƩ was a mixed bag. The first thing that caught my eye was its stunning design, which is what initially drew me in for breakfast. The ordering process was convenient, offering both counter and table service, and I appreciated how promptly the food was served.

However, not all aspects met my expectations. My iced long black was disappointingly bitter, easily the worst I’ve had in a whil. On the other hand, the flat white ordered by my companion was decent.

The ambiance was another downside. The noise level inside was unexpectedly high, making the seating area less comfortable than I would have liked.

On a positive note, the staff members were friendly and welcoming, which did enhance the overall experience.

Coming to the food, as someone who has lived in Europe and adores authentic French bakeries, I found the offerings here lacking. The baguettes, rather than being crispy, were chewy and dry, and served fridge cold, which was quite off-putting. The Ć©clair was passable but didn’t wow me.

In conclusion, this cafƩ seems to prioritise its Instagram-worthy aesthetics over the quality and authenticity of its food. It might appeal to those looking for a visually pleasing spot, but for those seeking genuine, delicious French bakery items, it might not...

I have just had a terrible experience at this establishment. I had been told positive things re this Bakery an decided to take my friend there for her birthday.

Once entering we ordered 1 cup of coffee and a pot of tea with cake. All was going well at this stage then we tried to find a table without dirty cutlery and plates on it. Once this was done we sat in a very hot annex.

After 10minutes we received the cake then waited another 10 minutes for our drinks. My friend received her cold coffee and I waited for my tea. Another 10 minutes passed an my friend had finished her coffee then my tea arrived in a tea pot which was good. The problem was the tea pot had ½ inch of water in it and no milk was provided. I then asked if I could have milk this before I realised there was insufficient water. The young fellow wondered off an did not return. I then returned my tea an cup to the front desk an told then Manager/ Owner what had happened. His response was to take the tea pot an cup of me an dump it out the back and did not offer me a refund or a new cup of tea. Unbelievable customer service. Needless to say I will not be returning and not recommending it to any...
