I first visited the neighbourhood only for the Dendy Cinema which has foreign subtitles ( close caption ) films not otherwise shown in bigger mainstream cinemas. Empty nest retirees should be on the err side of caution before selling their home in Olde Worlde suburbs and moving into an upper middle class sometimes called apartment complex. You will notice that real estate agents mention nothing about the inconvenience of shared recreational and elevator entrance areas. If your neighbour decides they want to dominate this area they will just behave really badly to make you feel uncomfortable then return to being nice and normal when you disappear.
Real Estate artists impressions photos show the world they would like to have; luxury boats on the river. But Brisbane's average income per capita probably can't support these kind of leisure activities.
An exciting place to live for those borne in the 1990's or later, if you want to buy your son or daughter a place to live. But it lacks a little Olde Worlde heritage charm.
