Great idea however needs desperate upgrades already. We took our boys and a friend's son to play. Giant slide. We watched as a young child came come flying down the hot and wet slide and graze his backside on the concrete. The slide's angle is at a crazy pitch. It was a lawsuit waiting to happen Metal mesh in the container area. Looks great but again not well thought out. There are internal stairs that that have narrow steps (barely big enough for a small child) and nothing but the mesh to hang on to when go up or down the stairs. Kids were running up and down this and a few slipped. It won't take much for a child to cut or even severe their finger on the mesh!!!

PERFECT EXAMPLE OF WHY COUNCILS NEED PARENTAL CONSULTATION ON PARK BUILDS!!! - I suggest heading out to the Hills District All Abilities Playground at Leslie Patrick Park, Olearia Street West, Arana Hills for ideas on how to...

This was the families first visit to this recreation reserve since the Brisbane City Council had made massive changes to this growth area of Hamilton. There are major issues when it comes to finding adequate parking for anyone even before you enter this recreation reserve. There are only about 6 parking spaces available, that includes the disabled parking. Apparently there is further parking up the road at Northshore, however that part of the precinct is not within walking distance for families. As mentioned in yesterday's Sunday Mail some of the slides in the park are not up to the safety regulations as some other similar parks. I was generally disappointed with the park in general, I hope for everyone's sake the BCC staff responsible for putting this major recreation reserve together have a good review of what improvements...

This park is a fantastic spot for families and anyone looking to enjoy some time outdoors. The playground is shaded and thoughtfully designed, featuring a rubberised hill with tunnels and slides, making it both fun and safe for kids. There are also swings, climbing structures, and a half-court basketball area. For those who enjoy staying active, the park includes an outdoor exercise gym with various equipment. The open lawn areas are perfect for picnics or just relaxing, and there’s a dedicated off-leash dog park nearby for pet owners. Facilities like shaded seating, BBQs, and public toilets add to the convenience, ensuring a comfortable visit. Whether you're planning a family outing or a solo visit, this park offers a welcoming and well-equipped...

Spacious playground for kids of all ages. Gated on the road side but also big enough to follow your kids around and inside the playground if you want to keep an eye on them. There's a water feature as well (supposedly it's not meant to be on between May-October but it was on during a Saturday in May) so kids could potentially end up with wet clothes. Huge circle footpath kids can ride their bikes/scooters around on and plenty of shade on the playground and around for parents to sit with picnic blankets. Not many parks I think but we parked at a friend's place nearby and walked over.

New playgrounds set up across from Portside Wharf. Loved the flooring (soft & squishy). Would not consider this a water park, more of a "get a little wet" park. Not worth going to if you expected water play. Also no shade, so it was very hard to be able to enjoy all the facilities or find a place for a picnic. Best to park at Portside Wharf and validate your parking by purchasing a coffee before you head to the park. Great park if you live in the area or if you're visiting Portside Wharf. But not worth the drive out there from southside as there are other water parks closer by.
