To whom this may concern,
Today at 3:47pm, my friend and I walked into this establishment expecting a nice environment to spend our afternoon in. While waiting for our delicious & nostalgic meal from McDonald’s, my counterpart & I overheard some crass commentary coming from the girl seen in the attached images. She was expressing her distaste for customers simply coming into the store and ordering food, stating “If you really want banana bread, buy some and make it at home for yourself.” It was the rude tone & the fact that we had just ordered banana bread that caught our attention, but we were shocked to see her displaying such poor work ethic AND eating an ice cream cone while doing her job. I understand employees need to eat and feel nourished to perform their jobs to the best of their ability, but still, I am appalled that management is allowing her to eat in front of the other fresh food she was handling, and a store full of customers. She also made a comment about a hashbrown, stating “If they want to order a hashbrown at this time of the day, this is what they get.” To me, this sounded like she had done something to this item of food she was about to serve, and I feel a great deal of remorse for whoever received that order. This girl was running drive thru, and as an ex-McDonald’s employee, having this position means you must take on the responsibility of an area leader. You must be an example for your coworkers, and be professional in how you go about doing your job, including how you treat guests in your restaurant. These two loud comments tell me that Chermside McDonald’s has little to no concern over the attitude their employees bring to the workplace, nor do they care about food quality & the laws that surround it. They clearly have no respect for their paying customers, and because of this, my friend & I will not be visiting this...
Read moretonight at 6:46pm i came into mcdonald's with my friend ella and you know what we both LOVE MCDONALDS DRINKS. i love the coke and ella loves the fanta. to say the least we weren't disappointed, incrediblely impressed with the staff members work (when i say that, i mean putting the lid on and passing the drink to us both, didn't take much effort) but still 10/10. idk why but mcdonald's soft drinks seem to have some sort of special effect and taste the doesn't compare to any other COKE OR FANTA IVE HAD IN MY LIFE. however, to whom this may concern i strongly feel as if the constant price increase/inflation is really starting to take a toll on my treat. please tell me why i'm paying $5.25 for a drink that has a fair bit of ice in it, which truely is no issue but to the management i definitely think you should pass this on to the ceo, a recommendation on how to resolve this issue would be to make all drinks $4.30 for a large and then roughly $0.60 less for medium and small. i think this would be successful for this business as more people would be inclined to buy more drinks for mcdonald's which would lead to more money for the company. i also don't think it would effect the business that much mostly because it's post-mix with soda water which is actually quite cheap on you side. however, i would like to add i would be more than happy to pay $5.25 including free refills but i do think many people would take advantage of that because people are greedy (me) i would just drink coke all day. anyways, today on 07/03/2023 i rate the service 10/10 and the drink itself 8/10 because i have had better before and i don't think the syrup was as strong and there has been lack of attention to it so no one has...
Read moreI come here quite a lot after I finish work given it's usually the only place that's open. This very early morning (I'm talking around 00:50), my coworker and I came up to the drive through just to get a bag of apple slices and a drink. The girl that was serving was incredibly rude. I was the one speaking (via passenger seat) and when talking at the usual volume I speak at when ordering via the passenger seat she'd say "huh" every two words, so, when she didn't reply to me saying "yes please" to something (if I wanted a large drink or something) she didn't respond, so I figured she didn't hear me so I said "yes please" a little louder. Usually someone would say "sorry, I did hear you I just needed to fix up the order" or something of those lines, but instead she said "you don't need to f- (didn't actually swear but hesitated as if she was going to) yell at me." I calmly explain I'm also excessively tired and her lack of response made me think she hadn't heard me given she had issues hearing me for a majority of the order. She was very rude the entire time, also giving me very obnoxious and loathing looks when I was just trying to pay. I get that people are tired working at these times, I work late nights too, but there is no need for rudeness when there was no animosity to begin with.
The only reason I'd continue going to this McDonald's chain is because of convenience. I've had nicer service at McDonald's during these very early hours with similar audio issues before and it's a shame that some people are just rude for no...
