I’m expecting you’re going to get a lot of these about Cannon Hill from yesterday evening. The speed of service was so poor, so laughable that large groups of people were being encouraged to walk out (run while you can), go find another McDonalds because the waits of an hour or more were simply unbelievable and we wouldn’t wish it upon someone. When our order finally came out, no one called out the number so our food sat there, and sat there, and sat there.. until I finally went up to inspect to find our food which had been sitting there and was now, cold. I insisted on fresh fries but I dared not ask for a replacement for the 24 nuggets or 2 x double quarter pounders I ordered. I couldn’t fathom waiting another hour for them.
I WANTED to demand a refund but again, getting a staff member to come out from under the mess and confusion was near impossible. The food quality was poor (it was accurate but it was ice cold and the coke was clear with zero syrup), the communication was poorer. Defeated, I took it home, put the nuggets in our air fryer and the burgers in the microwave. I’ve eaten at McDonalds restaurants all around the world and this was hands-down, the worst in the world.
Surely it couldn’t have been that slow, right? To put it in perspective… a friend of mine and I both left Brisbane CBD at the same time.. in the time it took me to drive to Cannon Hill (15 mins away), order and receive my food.. she was able to drive all the way to the Sunshine Coast and pass through a clearly much more efficient drive-through.
When people walk out, leave behind forgotten items and don’t ask for refunds because they’ve lost the will to wait.. there’s some serious issues. Cannon Hill needs fixed and I need my refund, I’d give you my receipt but the printer didn’t...
Read moreThis review is covering all the local McDonald’s stores that contribute to the disgraceful experiences my partner and I have EVERY SINGLE TIME we order Uber Eats.
The food is almost always old, stale, dry, & tasteless. In some cases, it has been genuinely inedible. That’s if you even get the item you paid for, though.
My partner is allergic to egg and, as of 10 minutes ago, this is the 6th time she’s ordered a sausage muffin and been given a sausage & egg muffin. She even got 2 in this order… an extra free muffin… which she can’t eat either. They also gave her the wrong tea for the 4th time so far. GREEN TEA. Not Earl Grey. Not English Breakfast. GREEN. Yesterday, they forgot all 3 drinks.
It’s borderline impressive how consistently these stores will get your order wrong. It’s like they actually do it on purpose.
I understand that McDonald’s is often (read: always) understaffed by incompetent children, but overnight shifts have to be worked by 18 year olds. What that’s telling me is that, around Cannon Hill & Morningside, there exists multiple 18+ year olds that have the brain development of children, yet blend into society effortlessly.
Terrifying stuff.
Anyways, you guys suck. McDonald’s food has potential but your lazy, incompetent, low-IQ staff are constantly churning out disgusting, overpriced fast food. Have some god damn standards and hold yourself accountable for once in your...
Read moreWe visited this Maccas tonight for coffee and cake after dining-out with our Family in Brisbane. The disappointment started after approaching the young lady working in the McCafe to place our usual order...only to told to go to the main service counter. After waiting five minutes, we were eventually served, and a young girl asked if we were eating-in or taking away. We asked to eat in. When our order arrived, it was delivered by the McCafe lady, but our coffee was in takeaway cups and the cake was wrapped in paper. Visiting a McCafe, we expected that our coffee & cake would be served in & on crockery! From what we saw tonight, It appears walk-in clients are last priority over Drive-thru & Uber-eats customers! We noted the girl that took our order, wandered out into the restaurant to collect a couple of serving trays after we found a clean table to sit at. She was oblivious to the rubbish piled-up on a nearby booth table, that we would have enjoyed if it had been cleaned before hand. It used to be that Maccas had affordable coffee & cake, and reasonable service...something that was totally lacking at this outlet. If McDonald's think a piece of sliced loaf and a small coffee served on & in paper for $8.20 is "Cafe quality", think again! This whole experience was mediocre, and we...
