I ordered a combo pack which was advertised on a big sign in their store. The sign reads '2 choices, 2 curries with rice pack.' I asked for the large 2 choice option which is $11.95. I ordered a chicken curry and a lamb curry. The bill came to $13.90 for the 2 choices. The lady who served me didn't bother to tell me that lamb cost extra, there was no signage saying lamb was extra, especially on the big sign where it clearly states 2 choices = $11.95. When I voiced the concern to the lady, she just shrugged it off and told me to take it up with upper management. I have tried contacting Miss India through their website twice but have not heard back at all. I know the difference in price is minor but it's the principle - you need to communicate price differences when something is not clearly advertised, otherwise it's false advertising! It's the right thing to do. I don't expect much from fast food places like these but I feel Miss India really need to fix their pricing signs to communicate prices better. They also need to retrain their staff to care about customer service a little more. It's really effecting their branding and will hurt...
Read moreThis restaurant is HORRIBLE now.
I've been eating at this restaurant for about 4 years now. The entire time I've loved it: friendly staff, delicious curry, delicious naan bread, and delicious mango lassi. It was really amazing and we were fully satisfied every visit. We recommended it to everyone.
But that changed when we visited a couple of weeks ago, after a few months' break. There is new management, and with it, completely new staff. The food is horrible and disgusting now. The curry is highly watered down. After we ate it, we didn't feel full in the slightest. The naan bread had very little flavour and cheese, and was just jam-packed with raw dough. Virtually inedible.
I've attached photos which show how horrible the naan bread is now. We got Cheese and Garlic Naan, and there was no garlic on it at all, and such a tiny amount of cheese.
We're really sad about what's happened to this place because it was always so great. I highly recommend not eating here. If you want Indian, Hyderabad is a nearby restaurant that is much better. Check that...
Read moreThe best part is of course the food itself! I got a large serving of butter chicken with a serving of rice as well as one piece of bhatura bread. And that all came to a bargain price of $10.90. Amazing sauce too! 🙌
I do feel bad for anyone who works here. It’s just one person attending the restaurant by themselves. I’m not saying that’s bad, but I just think they’re lonely. Because this place just deserves much more love. That might be a different story on a Friday evening, though, I don’t know. I think if the worker attending the time was able to spend time and take initutive by actions like cleaning up, asking first if I’m dining in/taking away and having a chat too would have made me rate Service at 5 stars.
Atmosphere-wise, I think it’s got lots of potential. Even adding some things like ambient Indian music or Indian pop would help more decide to eat in.
A great place for me to stop in while RACQ was fixing our broken-down car. Dhanyavaad, Miss India. Good luck...
