Totally disappointed with my visit to this store on Mothers Day. I have been visiting this store since its opening and never had anything but praise for the great service and food previously. This was the worst experience I have ever had here. I walked in to order my usual items for a family dinner. Asked for Portuguese dinner rolls and was told they do not sell them anymore and I could buy much more expensive Pita bread.I then asked for the large 1.25L Coke which usually sold for $5.40 and I was told that this was no longer available and they only had the 600ml at $4,40 .What a rip off! I then was told that there was a wait of 30 minutes for my food.I looked around and the store was half empty.Never before had I to wait over 15 minutes! As we waited for our food,I looked around and noticed many dirty uncleaned tables which never happened before! We looked for sauces and there was no tomato or mild peri peri sauce at all.I asked an assistant and she could not find any either. She finally brought some in bowls for us. When the food was delivered, I noticed the chicken was not neatly cut up in 8 pieces like before but in 4 huge chunks that were real badly cut. The chicken was under marinated and not cooked well leaving the skin soggy and meat slimy and not tasty. The chips were of a much smaller portion and not crispy or well salted. The area to wash my hands was dirty and had no toothpicks anymore. I had earlier noticed that many of the regular staff were not there anymore and the new staff looked lethargic and totally uninterested.Upon questioning the lady at the counter, she told me that it was not owned anymore by the previous asian owner and now run by head office! If this is the acceptable standard of head office for running a store, then I will no longer be a customer. Guys get your act together or you will be the next franchise in trouble in...
Read moreMy partner and I are completely addicted to the Hummus with peri-peri drizzle. But unfortunately it has been a reoccurring theme at this store to completely leave out the peri-peri drizzle and tonight they have hit all time lows by leaving out the pita bread aswell. Suffice to say I have just bought 3 X this dish and have nothing to show for it besides a bowl of hummus. The cherry on top of this entire cluster fxxx is that we also ordered extra Pita bread ( which obviously didn't make an appearance). Recourse action is non existent, there phone number is accessed via the 1800 number and as soon as you're patched through you get the voicemail saying that they are" too busy cooking chicken and serving customers" the irony of which I would presume speaks for itself and leaves me with google reviews, my sole outlet for my frustrations. For those of you who would suggest me utilising a different store....well the Nando's app won't let me make that choice. I'm stuck with this poor excuse for a Nando's store with its repetitive neglect which at this point happens so often it should constitute theft. Can I Lodge a police report in an effort to recoup my losses🤔 Hanlons Razor states... "Never attribute to. Malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity" but no-one is this stupid they must hate me for some reason. I like to picture the staff laughing and eating my pita bread covered in Peri- Peri drizzle cause at the very least someone should enjoy it as I can comfortably...
Read moreWon’t be back. Have been a regular at the Carsildine store for quite some time and I enjoy helping local business especially during Covid. I also confirm to all Qld Health regulations and I have been fully vaccinated. But the toxic attitude by staff is unacceptable. I walked into the store and the order I had made online and pre paid for I saw sitting there. I walked in and showed my phone screen with my order on it. The staff member refused to allow me to collect it until I scanned in. Ok fair enough I missed it, so I used my phone and scanned in right in front of her. I went to collect my order again but with a very unhappy face she refused to allow me again to collect my order until I showed her my phone. Now inspection of my phone is NOT a requirement by the Qld Government in fact it’s an invasion of privacy. It also made me feel like I was being treated as a liar although I had literally scanned in right in front of her. I was forced to open my check in app and allow her to inspect my check in history before I was allowed to collect my food. This was completely unacceptable and my check in history has absolutely nothing to do with Nando’s or their staff. I completely understand the need to have check in’s, face masks and vaccines. I do not accept however that Nando’s is acting appropriately however and I will not be returning to this store. There’s plenty of other chicken shops around to buy chicken from. You’ve lost a loyal customer with this...
