I wasn't expecting much from airport dining, but my recent experience enjoying beer and pizza at Newstead brewing at Brisbane airport truly exceeded my expectations. The pizza was surprisingly delicious with a crispy, perfectly baked crust and just the right balance of sauce, cheese, and toppings. Paired with an ice-cold craft beer on tap, it made for a great meal before my flight. What really stood out, though, was the exceptional customer service from Alex, Julian, and Dan. Despite the busy atmosphere, they were all incredibly friendly, attentive, and quick to ensure I had everything I needed. Alex recommended the perfect beer to pair with my pizza, Julian was on top of making sure my glass never went empty, and Dan made sure I was comfortable throughout the meal. They really made what could have been just a rushed meal feel like a relaxing break in my travel day. For anyone passing through Brisbane domestic airport, I highly recommend stopping here. You’ll get more than just convenience—delicious food and great hospitality!

Great beers and staff. Great brekky burger too. Disappointed today when the Chicken Schnitzel burger ($22) was very different from that pictured on the menu. The schnitzel pictured was one like you'd get in a pub meal, but on a burger... Big, crumbed, falling out the sides of the bun. Instead, a processed chicken fillet that looked like it was from the IGA frozen section arrived and only just took up half the size of the bun. Needless to say, we had to have a conversation with the staff about this. Sarah B was very understanding and did everything in her power to make us happy customers and promised to speak to management to redress the menu photo and price. She was very personable and turned a difficult situation into a pleasant one. Thankyou Sarah B... You're a gem. Bel and Rick

a lovely cafe restaurant to visit before heading off on your trip~ visited newstead brewing co for a quick bite ordered the spinach, tomato and feta toastie, breaky wrap, tropical granola bowl, a latte, a cappuccino and a hot chocolate toastie was pretty good, nice and crunchy and filling~ breaky wrap was so yum~ granola bowl was a bit disappointing, firstly not even a bowl, secondly the amount they give is very very small for what you pay for, nice tasting but still~ coffees were pretty nice~ they use toby estate beans here~ service was really fast and friendly~ it’s a order and pay at table service but they bring your order over to you~

Not a great experience, both service and food. Stopped in for a quick breakfast before my flight, and was pleasantly surprised it wasn’t busy. I ordered via the QR code on the table (as a lot of the signs direct you to do). A coffee, and a breakfast burger. About 10 minutes later I see a waitress walk past with what looks to be my coffee and can’t find my table.. I let it go as lots of people ordering coffees. Eventually I realize there’s an issue because new patrons near me start getting food and drinks quicker. I politely walk up and ask about my food and get an abrupt “It’s coming!”, I see about 4 breakky burgers on the counter all without homes. She then follows me to the table with my burger and I politely say I’m also waiting on a coffee, to which I get the same snappy response of it’s coming… the burger is ice cold (I dare not complain). Time passes, I finish the cold burger and a different waitress walks past, I ask her about the coffee, she goes and speaks to grumps, who then goes to the barista. 5 minutes later the second waitress comes over and apologizes for the wait and explains they had indeed lost my order. All was good, I didn’t fuss.. took one sip of the lava and feel grumps had the barista make it extra hot just to try once more and ruin my experience. So glad I added a tip to my order when I paid at the start…..

Not one to leave a review, but I have to do something whilst I wait for this coffee to cool down to a drinkable temperature, it’s about as bitter as the...

This is one of the three cafe-bar-restaurants in the middle section of the Brisbane Domestic Terminal "barbell" that connects between the Qantas and Virgin ends (that provide nicer options than the fast food chain-dominated mini foodcourts at each end).

This is a microbrewery outpost, with plenty of seating, playing some nice uplifting house music when I last visited. Of the three main "middle section options", which I'd say are equally good, the seating is a little more spacious here, and it feels slightly more relaxed with its pub atmosphere.

Food includes a few breakfast cafe standards (avo toast, eggs, pancakes, full breakfast, etc) available all day, alongside Australian pub fare (share plates, burgers, pizzas, chicken parmi, fish and chips, steak). Like everywhere at BNE, healthier options are limited, but there were a couple of salads (Caesar salad with or without chicken, and a chicken-avocado salad).

Lots of craft beer options on tap ($10/schooner), including a 3.5% ABV session IPA, although no alcohol-free option unfortunately. Pleasingly, there is a thoughtfully curated selection of wine and spirits in the sweet spot of quality bang for buck, with multiple things I'd be delighted to order and a highlight of a small collection of local craft gins. Plus crowd pleasing Aperol Spritzes, Espresso Martinis and Mimosas. Coffee from...

Friendly staff and reasonably quick preparation of food. As I have a gluten intolerance, I ordered "The Big Fry", a bacon, eggs, bread, hashbrown, mushrooms meal as it was one of the few gluten free options on the menu worth considering. It normally costs $26 which I thought was expensive but given that it had "big" in the name, I expected it to be filling. Unfortunately what I received for the price was quite a disappointment. Not only was I charged an additional $4 for the gluten-free bread substitution, I was still hungry after finishing the meal. Definitely not deserving of the name "The Big Fry".

I only received one piece of gluten free bread for $4. I thought maybe it was some expensive premium gluten free sourdough bread but what I received (and tasted) was very similar to the stuff I buy from Woolies. This wasn't a surcharge to cover the cost of the bread, it was profiteering off my food intolerance.

Coffee Royal, located in Qantas Terminal has better value. Their "Royal Breakfast" is similar to Newstead's "The Big Fry", but costs $22. Their gluten-free bread substitution costs an additional $2.50 and comes with two pieces of bread. Still a bit pricey in my opinion but better value to what I had...
