We used the uber eats app to order noodles. My wife is gluten free and we looked through all the options to change the noodles to flat rice noodles but in the uber eats app there was no option or even a notes section other than the notes for the driver. As soon as the order was placed we tried calling the store straight away to let them know. No one answered it rang out 8 times we tried. So we contacted the uber eats driver as soon as he was assigned and he was so lovely and went back into the Cannon Hill shop and got them to call me. The fist girl my wife spoke to said she cant help and put on Gabrielle. Gabrielle was extremely rude and when my wife said we tried calling she said the phones are not working. My wife sarcastically said well thats really good! Gabrielle's answer was "thats your problem not mine". Long story short Gabrielle called the manager and basically they said they are not doing anything about it because apparently there is an area to put in notes...i would love them to show me where. We have since looked and I still cant find anywhere. Gabrielle also very rudely said to my wife why didnt you just come in? This was the worst and rudest customer service ever, not that it was any of her business but I had a day surgery and my wife couldnt leave kids with me so uber eats it was. My wife was so angry and disgusted at this comment that she did say its not your F'n business...however she did apologise straight away for swearing as she realises that is inappropriate no matter how angry she was feeling. I still don't understand why they just didnt apologise that the phones were not working and make a new one with gluten free noodles. I would be so angry if I owned this business and I had staff members talking to my customers like this and really disappointed and would re think the...
Read moreAbsolutely appalling service. We ordered two dishes on noodle box website for pick up. I ordered, my hubby collected. Hubby went to collect, but the manager working claimed it was already collected. And just said “it’s gone”. Well it was NOT collected by us. Then hinted that my husband was trying to steal from them. Hubby said “what do you mean gone?” Manager just said “it’s not here. It’s gone”.
My hubby innocently forgot his phone, so could not provide order number. But could provide name, exact dishes order and phone number ordered from. The manager just kept saying “it’s gone”. And refused to verify the details. Hubby reiterated details, manager just stood there and wouldn’t help. And said “it’s gone”.
Obviously, manager gave our food to the wrong people but refused to own up to the mistake. Accused my husband of lying and he refused to remake the meal. Just kept saying “it’s gone”and inferred my husband was trying to cheat him.
So he made my hubby drive all the way home, get his phone and drive all the way back just to provide order number. Wouldn’t even offer to let him use his phone to call me. Refused to look in the system to verify information. Accused my husband of lying and made it a huge inconvenience for us.
Once we provided order number, guy said nothing. Made our food and gave it to us. Wouldn’t comp the meal for the inconvenience . No apologizing. Nothing. The young girl who was working that night was the only one that was helpful but the manager kept talking over her.
I don’t know if you have new owners, but we have been coming here for years, and we just couldn’t believe we were treated like criminals. All over a $40 meal. Absolutely pathetic. Your restaurant will not last in this community if you keep treating your loyal...
Read moreThought we try out Noodle Box Cannon Hill again after having disappointing experiences in the past and seems it still has not changed. I ordered the Crispy Teriyaki Chicken and Egg fried rice and my partner ordered the Teriyaki chicken Noodles. The crispy teriyaki chicken was very disappointing. Drowned in teriyaki marinade and Japanese Mayonnaise. Zero balance of flavours. The dish was inedible. Pretty sure Noah could have floated away in his ark with the amount of marinade used in the dish. It’s ok to have a saucy dish but flavours need to be balanced. Use or create a sauce not a marinade. If I was the chef/cook who cooked this dish I would be embarrassed and would try a different profession to be honest. With 10+ years owning multiple hospitality businesses, rule number one; only serve food you would eat yourself. My partner had the teriyaki noodles, and again drowned in marinade with a bonus surprise of bones in the chicken. We tried to give our 2 year old son some noodles and he spat it out instantly and threw the rest on the floor…and he eats literally everything! Only positive out of our experience was the fast service although with 4 staff on seems no one has hands to answer the phone even with minimal dockets up. Some feedback would be to actually hire some professionals otherwise your rating will sit at 3.5 till the end of time. So to anyone looking at ordering from here, avoid otherwise you will be disappointed. Plenty of other great Asian eateries...
