I was originally apprehensive about purchasing food from Noodlebox Nundah. This is because I frequently see filth on the floors and bin chickens in the shop when I walk past to Woolies. However, my favourite dinner was closed due to the holidays and I couldn’t think of what to get and didn’t want to drive or order ubereats. I ordered the Chicken Pad Thai in the large size. The only good thing about it was that the portion size was quite huge. As for the negatives, where do I begin? The worst part about the food was that it was drenched in soy sauce and chilly. There was so much soy and chilly the food tasted like I was eating vegemite from the jar. Additionally, I don’t think I’ve had a pad Thai that was actually meant to be spicy, but I could be wrong. As for the ingredients, about 90% of the meal was soy soaked noodles. When digging through to find the rest I only managed to locate 1 or 2 bean sprouts and about 3 little pieces of spring onion. In terms of the chicken, probably about 5 thinly sliced large pieces. However with all the issues I decided I would just push on and dig out the chicken. Overall, I only managed to eat half, with the remainder just being noodles. I couldn’t bring myself to finish the rest as my mouth feels this bizarre combination of spice, heat and extreme saltiness like I’ve had a boiling cup of sea water or blistering vegemite toast. My stomach feels oddly bloated and disgusting. I think I was doing the right thing by avoiding this place previously. I dont think I would ever come back and would recommend anyone else avoid the venue as well. I can only hope after consuming so much salt or bizarre food that I don’t become unwell overnight and into tomorrow. Update 17/01/24 - I was asked to contact by email to discuss the review. They said sorry and offered me a $10 voucher if I downloaded their app. They do not provide refunds apparently. I refused because I didn’t want to buy more food just to use a voucher and the meal cost $21.

I haven't been in to Nundah for a very long time, and wow, hasn't it grown beautifully. I decided to get some noodles from Noodle Box. I was served by Sandeep, who was very knowledgeable about his dishes. He was chirpy and happy to be managing the store. I chose the Malaysian Kway Teow. The man who cooked the meal was a wizz. I watched him select my veggies, meat, and noodles and toss them into the wok of flames. The end product was delicious. I enjoyed every moment of it. I was so impressed by my meal I dropped back in to tell them. He gave me a complimentary cap that fits perfectly. Cheers.

Ordered a tofu laksa last night, horrified to discover an item that was not listed in the ingredients- MEAT. This is so disgusting that the care factor for cross contamination is zero. Tried to ring the business many times to which no answer, what's the point of a phone if no one answers? I am so disappointed that you just can't trust businesses to take food safety seriously. Ordered from what I thought was a ‘natures wok’ store for pickup. I was shocked and annoyed that it was this Noodle Box posing as another shop on DoorDash. So it left me walking in circles trying to find my food. I finally walked into this noodle box and asked the lady at the front, and I don’t know what happened in her day; but she was the RUDEST person I’ve come across in a while.

I took my food, and had one mouthful, and instantaneously spat it out. A natural instinct to poison. It was FULL of salt, so much so, my throat ceased up and I couldn’t even swallow it. Initially I thought I was being dramatic, so I took another mouthful and I can confirm, the meal was inedible. It was like the spilt the entire salt shaker into the box. Imagine a mouthful of ocean water. Double it.

I came back to the shop, reluctantly having to communicate with the woman at the front. I explained that it had too much salt. She snatched the bowl, inspected that I had some and then shooed me away.

The replacement was less salty, reasonable for a meal, but it was just oily rice, a broccoli stalk (no head) and a few carrot cubes.

Now, aside from the rubbish that they serve as food, the state of the kitchen is an absolute shock. Bins of noodles spilling onto the floor, food scraps dribbled across the plate - health inspector should attend.

I feel sorry for the cook, who seems to get the brunt of the wicked witch at the front. He looks defeated. Hope he is paid and not held hostage.

In short, scabby Noodle Box, posing as a natural clean restaurant on Door Dash - uses salt to compensate for hygiene. Cook...

I have just returned home empty handed from this place. Walked in at about 8.40, the place shuts at 9. Wanted to order the Tuesday special “2 small boxes for 15.95”. The person at the counter advised that I would need to sign up on Ate Rewards to avail this offer. I don’t believe this is a compulsion as it does not mention this condition anywhere on the offer. However, I did agree to sign up which took a couple of minutes. It is now 8.50 and now there’s another lady at the counter who says the chef will not cook now as it’s 8.50. Why the hell was my time wasted when they knew they weren’t going to accept the order. This behaviour and the way it was told was nothing but sheer embarrassment. The staff and chef’s behaviour is not a first at this particular outlet but always chose to ignore it. But this time, it has crossed all limits. Zero customer service and absolutely ridiculous and rude behaviour from the staff.

The google reviews explain the rating and reviews of this outlet. I have been to many other outlets but this one is horrible. I look forward to hearing back...
