Finally, Staffordians can rejoice with the mouth watering options available from Papa's Corner. This is not a typical location that one might choose to explore when hunting for that "breakfast of the day" experience. And, you may even pass it by, by simply becoming caught up in the bustle of one of Brisbane's busiest roads... Stafford Road. But if you get the chance to read this review or take advice from a friend to drop on in and check this place out, then you won't be disappointed. As you pull on up, you can see that this one has got potential, by the number of patrons lined up on the corner ready to grab a seat or to take away. Unless you catch the bus, the only way to get here really is to drive or ride a bike. Parking is available at the rear just in case you miss it. You'll notice that Papa's Corner's colour palette resembles the humble qualities of a stylish honey bee, with beautiful splashes of yellow on the walls and staff uniforms, contrasting with formal black, which is then softened by pure white strips and timber accents. Now, this place is go go go! Busy staff bustle in and out of the hive, buzzing around the quaint service area to greet and meet new customers as they swarm in. Must be the sign of a good queen bee! Polite and courteous table service is on offer and meals are delivered in a reasonable and timely fashion. As you sit here and soak in the atmosphere, you certainly start to forget the Brisbane artery outside, as congestive traffic noise seems to disappear. Now, I don't know about you, but I'm one of those sneaks that loves to check out the other patrons' plates before I set eyes on my own. Looks a bit creepy I know, but I assure you, it's the food I'm after. And, if you end up doing the same, safe to say, the quality of the meals being served here, will surely enhance anticipation for your own. The meals are large enough to satisfy the appetite, coloured like a beautiful breakfast rainbow, with top notch presentation. Now don't go expecting Michelin hat cuisine, however, do expect to experience the flavours that you set out to achieve. If you want halloumi cooked to perfection, then this is the place to be. I ordered the vegetarian breakfast, which was delicious, well prepared and delivered at the right temperature. And isn't that important at breakfast, to receive your meal not too hot, but not too cold. The Smokey beans gave this meal the friendly 'sting' I was looking for and the eggs couldn't have been cooked better if they tried. The staff here really churn out the honey in this hive, by producing decent meal after meal that doesn't skip a beat. Although I try not to eat meat, as I tend to explore vegan or vegetarian options, I must say, one of the other diners was chowing down on the big Papas breakfast, and my word, their pork sausage must have been the biggest one I've seen! A hearty serving for even the most discerning breakfast enthusiast. Other delights you might find on the menu for breakfast include snickers butter milk pancakes or a breakfast burrito. For lunch, vegan tacos or 12 hour smoked beef brisket. And your kids might enjoy sugar-free pancakes or Papas's beef sliders. There are choices for all tastes really. Touching on the coffee, my half strength soy mocha was temperature appropriate and filled the need. You could see the dedicated bee at the coffee machine had a vested interest in severing a good cup. If I am ever on the north side of Brissy and looking for a bite to eat, and need assurance that I will be getting a quality meal, then I will be sure to chuck Papas Corner on my list of "go-to" places for one of my next breakky experiences. Papas corner, a hidden gem in the urban sprawl. Tucked into the heart of metro suburbia, this is an establishment not to be missed. Enjoy!

First time here, definitely won't be the last! Whenever I go to a cafe, I always agonise over choosing between hot coffee or cold drip options. I love them both and it's not always as easy as deciding based on the weather. Papas Corner makes that one quite simple by having a "Two Minds" option (was this made for me?!?) where you can get a flat white and a cold drip. I have to mention that the while both coffees were excellent, the cold drip was one of the best I have had in recent memory. Next came the option for choosing food and the menu is really interesting with some great options to cater to people wanting a quick bite, all the way through to a decadent feast. We had the time, so feast it was: Confit Duck Eggs Benny: Slow cooked duck leg, silky hollandaise, perfectly poached eggs and delicious sourdough. This was stellar, loved the flavour of the duck and hollandaise combination. It was very rich and rewarding. Papas Big Breakfast: This had just about everything I would want, it gave me a great chance to try all the bits and pieces from the sides menu combined into this hefty plate. Smoked beans, relish, pork sausage were all big highlights, along with wonderful poached eggs. One criticism I had is that I wished the smoked beans were a little softer, however the flavour of them was spot on. When it came to the end of the meal, I was having to make some really difficult decisions on what not to eat as I was getting full. Let's just say that the highlighted items were not on the list of those left behind (I can't believe it but sorry bacon, while you were delicious it had to be you.) Overall I loved Papas Corner Cafe and I can't wait to come back.

Hubby and I popped in for a quick lunch this week. The waitress brought out menus and water very quickly. Ordering at counter as is the case with most cafes these days. Drinks came out promptly. I had an iced mocha, which came with ice cream. Deliciously cold and lots of chocolate/coffee flavour. Hubby had a hot chocolate which he liked, tho he prefers a thicker version. We both had a daily special - snapper and veg for me, and gnocchi with mushrooms for him. Both meals were very filling and quite tasty. The veg on my plate did seem to have been sitting around (in a bain-marie?) for quite some time, so it was a bit limp but i didn't mind the carrots and broccoli. My plate did have 2 big sprigs of rosemary which added flavour but was a bit cumbersome. The fish had a few bones, and perhaps had been in the freezer?:) Hubby said his gnocchi was okay, not good nor bad. All up, this is cheap and cheerful, and you get what you pay for. Twas pleasant to sit on the outside deck.

I have had the pleasure of being a customer of Papa's Corner Cafe since September last year, and I am thrilled to write this review to express my appreciation for this small business. In addition to the exceptional food and welcoming atmosphere, the service at Papa's Corner Cafe is top-notch. The staff members are attentive, knowledgeable, and always ready to offer recommendations or accommodate special requests. They genuinely care about your satisfaction and make sure that every visit is a memorable one.

Papa's Corner Cafe is a hidden gem that deserves recognition. The owners have created a culture that fosters a sense of belonging and warmth, making it a standout among other cafes in the area. The inviting atmosphere, delicious food, and exceptional service make this cafe a must-visit for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience.
