Such a shame. The food is good. However my order came with no vegetable samosas. I called the restaurant who said "it's impossible that you didn't get them as I packed them myself". I reaffirmed that indeed, I did not receive the samosas. Where I was met with "as I said, impossible, as I packed them myself" So it fell upon that potentially the Menulog driver must have failed to deliver on the packed food. When I asked what we can do if we can send another driver, I was told that they can remake the food, but won't send another driver, so I'd need to pick up. There's a reason I'm ordering take out - because I don't want to drive. I then checked to see how long it would take to drive to the restaurant. I said, while looking at Google maps, "Ah, from my place in Nundah it will take me 8 minutes with tolls, or 11 minutes with tolls" to which I was told "no you're wrong, I live around the area it takes 3 - 4 minutes to get to the restaurant ". I raffirmed , "I'm looking at Google maps, it's saying 11 minutes no tolls" to which I was told "I don't know what you are looking at as it takes me only 3 - 4 minutes from around Nundah". The. AUDACITY. I'm already down $9, I don't have my food, they arnt going to send another driver, and then to be told that I'm wrong while looking at Google maps, a service that provides a 99% accurate time map....I was speechless. They said they are a new restaurant - there are plenty of other great tasting restaurants who will stand up for Thier customers, resend food not sent and confront delivery drivers if the drivers haven't delivered on Thier food. But I can't accept the level of service from this place again. As I said, a shame, as the food was good. Re-sending food that didn't arrive is far less expensive than a potentially bad review , it shows where Thier prioritys are. Thanks. Feel free to reply - I'll consider changing the review once I receive the samosas I paid for - no extra charge and no driving down , or receive a refund for the samosas I didn't receive. Telling me that "next time I order I can get extra" isn't a solution. This makes me not want to order, and let other people know not to order . I'm not giving more money when I'm already upset I didn't even get what I paid for. If you claim that menu log is to blame - follow it up and claim the loss through Menulog while providing your customer with the items they paid for- now is your chance as this review is incentive. Fight Menulog for driver failure to show you are serious about your customers and your service.
I've given 2 stars because no matter how disappointed I am with tonight's situation , the food I did receive was good, and credit is given where credit is due. Obviously can't review those...
Read moreThis is definitely a place deserving of a five star review. Don’t let the couple of tables and chairs and an unassuming shop front fool you, remember you’re here for the food. And well…the food is damn good! Totally authentic, flavourful and so very generous. You almost feel you’re walking into someone’s kitchen/living room when you pick up the order. We ordered what we thought would be a couple of curries enough for a good feed for two people and we’ve ended up with tomorrows lunch and dinner sorted unexpectedly! All the proteins in the curries were healthily represented (not just sauce filling the container like other places do), the chicken biryani is sensational, the vindaloo sour and spicy, the samosa chaat made exactly the way it should be, and the naan…the most soft, pillowy delicious naan to soak up those amazing gravies would have to be the best around.
To say it’s the best Indian take out in Brisbane may sound a little pithy but I’d suggest to you that it’s well worth a trip across a suburb or two to try it out…I think you’ll be...
Read moreI had a real bad experience with this place. Last week, I asked for Stuffed Naan- Spinach and Cottage Cheese. The lady clearly told lie to me that Cottage cheese is not a paneer but a different kind of cheese. I ate it thinking they might have some problem. Next, I had Plain Dal and I checked with a person that Rice will be there or not. She told me yes. Next, during the billing the owner lady told me that the bill is 12 AUD since Rice is not complementary. I gave 2 AUD to her. Also, I have realized that she treats Indians differently then Aussie. She doesn't care much about Indian. I won't ever go again. I will rather die hungry then to have food at such place. My rating is less than 1 star. The food isn't any great. Sometimes I see a layer of dust on the plate. They don't have a fixed recipe. The food taste is inconsistent. I will say it is good for those who has no options in life. I will never...
