We went there for dinner tonight. The air conditioner (AC) was blowing cold air. We requested one of the waitstaff if we could seat outside because the AC temperature was too cold for us. Then the waitstaff stated that the AC was not turned on, the cold air is coming from outside and she will close the door. The waitstaff was trying to gaslight us as if we don’t know where the cold air is coming from.
Then the waitstaff stated that it’s colder outside and she felt that way because she was standing outside for a while. We all were wondering why she was giving us weird explanations, instead of letting us sit outside where the temperature was more suitable for us. We would have understood that if we had foods on the table then it would be hassle for her to setup the table outside, but this all happened before we ordered our meal.
Then we notified her we will sit outside as the AC temperature was cold after we ordered food. We realised one of the tables was wobbly. The same waitstaff came out to bring our food and then she said that because the table is wobbly she wanted us to stay indoor. We all were confused what she was trying to explain to us as the things she was explaining was not making any sense.
The foods tasted below average and overpriced. -The vegetable biryani was below average. -Punjabi Vegetable Curry tasted sour. -Malai Kofta, saahi matar panner and paneer saag were mediocre. -butter chicken was so sweet that you do not need to order dessert baked naan tasted average.
While writing this review at the moment I am having stomachache from the food I ate here. Not going back after this...
Read moreNot a bad place to eat in. We ordered a mixed platter for an entree and it arrived quickly, sizzling on a stone plate with onions that had been cooked in citrus. The mains, lamb vindaloo and chicken korma with dried fruit naan bread and thankfully my girlfriend ordered coconut rice. I would definitely not go for the standard rice as the vindaloo didn't really have anything exceptional in the flavours department. Mixed with coconut rice and the naan bread however, delicious.
I really liked the forethought in tinting the front doors and windows as carpark is right there and we didn't even notice the headlights. I definitely think they could improve the atmosphere of the restaurant as it felt really empty apart from the table, chairs and paintings hanging from the wall.
Service was amazing and the waitresses don't appear to be pressed for time despite doing takeaway orders while looking after tables. Also, they are always smiling. I have a feeling the girl who served us was new because she couldn't recommend anything from the menu with confidence but she quickly relayed our questions to the chef which was great.
I think the price range is great for a night out but I might look elsewhere for a cheap takeaway night. We had our curries discounted a bit being a Tuesday night special but the overall meal cost roughly $80 which included 2 glasses of wine.
Thanks to the staff at Punjab Curry Club, my girlfriend and I both really enjoyed the night eating in and I'll definitely be recommending this restaurant to friends...

We order here at least 2-3 time’s a week and always get the butter chicken with no spice. Today we got the same order we always get and for the third time it had spice in it. The first time we called and made a complaint but we kept the food even though it wasn’t to our tastes. The second time we returned the food, having to drive back to the store to get it replaced. This time we were also given spicy food and we asked for the food to be replaced and our money refunded because this was the third time. The store was not helpful and told us we needed to wait for the manager to call us. When she did she argued that the order was made correctly, even though we know from frequent experience that it was spicy, she also argued that she had a family to feed and “could not” refund our money, which was only $30, and we spend more than that regularly. Eventually she agreed to refund our money, but not replace our incorrect meals, but we have to give back the incorrect food. But because of the attitude that was given and the lack of ownership by the owner we will no longer be spending our money at this or the Jindalee store. They have lost our custom, and it appears this is the only way to respond to business that provide incorrect food and take no ownership, or provide basic customer service. Businesses like this expect you to take what you are given and like it, even when they make the mistake. All over $30 worth...
