Came here for a bit of brunch with my partner as she’d been recommending this place for awhile. The setting itself is really nice. The garden dining area feels rustic but pleasant and all the staff were super friendly, attentive and professional. As an English man, I would consider myself somewhat of a sausage connoisseur so I was curious how the snag would shape up as I’ve unfortunately had some pretty disappointing sausages in Australia. The special sausage of the day was the apple cider and I’m really pleased to say it was a very fine one! Nice and course cut, high fat content, great flavour and actually reminded me of home. I’m an absolute sucker for hashbrowns and always interested in the many different ways that they can be prepared and presented. I think there is room for improvement with these hashbrowns as they were a little oily. They were proper fat boys and the filling was nice, but two on the plate were actually a bit much as they were so rich. I did struggle to finish them and think that they might have benefited from being a little thinner and crispier. They certainly weren’t bad. It just wasn’t a great ratio for the plate in my opinion. My partner got a bacon and egg croissant and really enjoyed it. I’m definitely keen to come back here and try some more of their sausages and it was a really great brunch all round. I will just likely swap out one of the hashbrowns or have a single one and more of the lovely sausages.

We were so excited to try this place because they have good presentation & reviews also the big benefit is they are dog friendly cafe plus they have dog park by itself. It’s really good for people who own dogs. We ordered lattes & mango smoothie, Barra tacos , eggs yourway & chip twirly. Barra tacos were okay and we did like their chip twirly very crispy and crunchy also cute shapes. However, when my friends finished their Barra tacos
 (15-20min later ) my meal still hadn’t arrived, I had to walk to them to asked if they could check it for me. They came back and said it’s 2-3 minutes away, I assume they totally forgot about my meal. (But I could be wrong just because they are so busy) Because how it possible that scrambled eggs with a sourdough could take longer than Barra tacos and fried chips!!! Also when I was waiting for my meal the staff almost sent us wrong meals twice
 however while we were eating there were so many many flies everywhere on the table , we had to keep waving flies away from our drinks & meals 😳😳😳 it’s a shocking. I hope it was just the weather that caused so many flies to be there.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. The coffee is good, very good actually (I am a pretentious coffee d**khead according to my wife). I came here for breakfast on a Friday morning, I had about an hour to kill and thought I would have breakfast here. The meal was a generous size with the bacon being a nice thick cut and pleasantly sweet with a maple syrup glaze (I make my own bacon, this bacon is more like home cured than mass produced stuff, probably from a good butcher instead of a wholesaler) and the sausage was large and flavoursome while not being greasy. Well worth a meal here if you get the chance, I will probably bring Mrs Wonderful and Wondeful Jnr here for lunch or dinner in the not too distant future.

//Edited Review//

Having visited quite a few times now (see below original review for why), I have noticed the standard of service slip a little each time I go back; not sure why and there are still certain staff who are lovely to deal with, but it has been a noticeable decline, but the slide was offset by the delicious food so I wasn't that bothered.

Today we ordered two drinks, which arrived fairly promptly, before subsequently ordering two serves of fish and chips. 35 minutes later we enquired with the waitress nearby as to how long our food might take and got an instantaneous "I was just told it will be out in a couple of minutes" - odd to have this information readily available but not share it with the people who've been sitting at an empty table for half an hour.

After a further 10 minutes (45min since ordering) we left; poking my nose in the kitchen there was no fish or chips to be seen or smelled - it was approaching closing time and appeared the kitchen staff were mostly just cleaning up their workspace.

Settling up at the front counter our bill was for one drink and the two meals; I noted that the food had never arrived but we had two drinks. To their credit the staff member (I believe one of the owners) apologised and waived the cost of the drinks - a nice token gesture but didn't make up for the wasted hour and empty stomachs.

If they can sort out the service issues and ensure the great food coming out of their kitchen actually arrives at the tables, they'll be back on the right track. Unfortunately I'm not going to risk another hungry hour to find out.

//Original Review Below//

Food & Coffee are both always delicious, staff friendly. The snag of the day has been brilliant every time I've been here bar one, and that was a matter of preference not the quality of the snag. The standard brown is good enough you could just order 5 and be a very happy Irishman, the brown of the day is always interesting and usually delicious too (again a matter of preference not quality).

A lovely little place to bring a partner or some friends. Good for a quiet get together (there are some larger tables and a "snug" upstairs). If the weather suits there is an outdoor area and a small deck too.

Thoroughly...

So here is yet another quaint cafe. It has a great inside eating area which is not evident from the front of the shop front. It looks like there is minimal seating in the front of the cafe. Selected rooms with almost individual dining areas, As well as an outside eating area out the back area ample. This place has been here for years. I am really sorry to say this is the first time I had been there, despite being a semi local to the area. I really should have been there and shared great food and atmosphere with my friends.

The menu is a good size and there are also specials on the board. The food was very very tasty and timely in its arrival at the table. The staff were very friendly and were very attentive. All round it was a worthwhile stop in our afternoon and would happily go there again. I do believe I am having an afternoon out with my sister next Tuesday and I think this will be our destination. Really want to try more of their menu. Costs were average but well worth the food and drinks we ordered.

Take a dive into the unknown or another dip into the known for those of you who have been here before. I also remember hearing a while back that they are also good for dinner and functions. Correct me if I am wrong.

Thanks and keep it...
