Pretty solid burger place but at the moment may not be what some are looking for. Got a the ceaser chicken burger with chips and a milkshake. First of all the service is friendly and welcoming and I cannot fault! Regarding the food is can be a little bit touch and go. I saw the fries serving has been a bit debated and I have to say I believe this place has got it sorted, a small serving of chips with a burger felt more than enough. Personally a little smaller serving so you're not too full and nothing goes to waste is a lot better than too many. I do have to say though they do need just that little bit extra seasoning. For the burgers they give off a little bit more of a homemade with quality and love thats different to what you'd get at a American burger place. Definitely on the larger side for burgers nowadays too. However a word to the owner. You have some really interesting choices of burgers but I think if you had just 2 or 3 more burgers that are the more typical burgers you get (say a bacon cheese burger with tomatoes lettuce etc) would help give people a easier choice instead of some of the more unique burgers you have. I think you're burgers are so close to becoming a solid place in Brisbane but personally I find you need to season them just that little bit more and make some more in-house sauses instead of the tomato and BBQ sauce you use for a lot of your burgers. If you can push through with those changes I think you'd become the top 10 burger places in Brissy easy. Oh and the milkshakes! Amazing, exactly what you want, sweet but not too sweet and a good sizing - definitely one of the cheaper places by a little for your typical milkshake. Extra points for coming in the steel cup which I haven't seen for a long...

Let's start with the vibe - it's pretty hectic inside. There's usually a lot of yelling, the owner is incredibly passionate (which isn't a bad thing), and they seem to be training a new employee every time we pop in (which can require some patience - and that's okay).
Now the food... it's very polarising. THE CHIPS. My goodness! The chips are very, very good. Do yourself a favour and order the chips immediately, and grab one of their shakes while you're there too; you won't be disappointed.
The burgers though... I've seen other reviewers describe them as 'simple', which they are and that's fine... but when you're paying $15+ I was hoping for something a little more. Something that makes me go "You know what? I'd happily pay the extra $5 over a McDonald's burger, they're that good!". Don't get me wrong... they're okay. I'd eat them again. It's just every burger we've tried has felt a little too homemade and basic, and I'm unfortunately a burger lover with some pretty grand needs.
I write this review out of respect and love for the store and the community. I'm a local and I really do want this place to do well. I'm sure there will be many future Friday evenings I turn to...
Read moreI must admit I had very high hopes after seeing such great reviews and comments from locals on facebook. I wasn't blown away. The milkshake was very nice. The burger wasn't. We arrived for a sunday lunch, at opening time. The place was very quiet. Wait time was fine. I ordered a basic hamburger, only to find that it was basically cold (not hot enough to melt the cheese) and (in my opinion) an undercooked patty that seemed overprocessed and under seasoned, and lacking flavour and oomph. The lettuce was a little worse for wear. The chips were good, and the atmosphere had potential, but my husband was glad to hear that I wasn't keen on returning, as he's not a burger and chips kinda' guy anyway, and the children and him attended at my suggestion. A nice handy spot, but for a hyped up burger place I was underwhelmed and...
