Horrendous service Terrible food

Eggs Benedict came out, eggs were hard and cold in the centre. Told the staff, they took the plate and returned with just 2 poached eggs with the remainder of the meal missing. Once again bring this to their attention, they take the eggs into the kitchen, remove the old ones add the new ones and put some hollandaise over the top of the old meal that was sitting in the kitchen for 5 minutes.

No apologies, ask for a refund as we are not going to eat a meal that’s been just sitting there and swapped around and their response was ‘what’s wrong with it now’

Absolutely awful. One guy in the kitchen with no hair net.

Quite possibly the worst experience I’ve ever had at the coffee club.

EDIT: if only you took as much time and attention into training your staff and actually keeping your customers happy as you do responding to all of your poor reviews. I work in retail, I have worked for coffee club, I never leave reviews as I do understand busy periods and low staff but what I don't understand is poor management who says they aren't making excuses when it's clear that's all they are doing How many times can you get it wrong. Scroll through, read the responses, maybe accept the fact that it wasn't to standard, appreciate what the customer has to say, apologise instead of making a novel of excuses as to why it was horrendous and maybe just maybe you'll have that disgruntled customer return to give you another chance rather than just relying on the fact that you are based at a tourist destination and people who are going shopping before their flight just trust the brand of the 'coffee club' come and keep you busy just to be thoroughly dissatisfied. Respond or don't respond again I really couldn't care. At the end of the day it's you it affects as a business owner who let their arrogance come through more than...

I ordered a coffee here and the whole experience was disappointing. The service was rude, the management seemed chaotic, and they even added extra charges that weren’t listed on the receipt. To make it worse, their receipts don’t even show what you actually ordered—just the prices—so you have no idea what you’re paying for unless you double-check. I only got a refund after I questioned the staff about why the price was so high.I suspect this is their way of getting unsuspecting traveler to pay extra fees. After that, I waited 30 minutes for my hot chocolate and bread toast. When I finally went to ask about it, the staff member who was preparing my order scolded me in a blaming tone, saying it was because I had requested a refund. I explained that the refund was for the extra items they had wrongly charged me for, not for my hot chocolate. Still, her attitude remained unprofessional and unwelcoming throughout. If you’re a traveler waiting for your flight, I strongly suggest avoiding this place. And if you’re a local in Brisbane, I honestly don’t know why anyone would bother coming all the way to DFO for this. By the way, their $10 sandwich was terrible—just two slices of cheap bread with a piece of ham. It was so bad it could serve as a case study in the decline of human cuisine.

⭐⭐ Two stars only for the...

Disgusting customer service. Encouraged us to use the QR code to order our food.

Proceed to order from the QR code, it took the money and then failed to send the order to the kitchen but proceeded to take the money and say it will refund the money within 6-7 days.

Went up to the server and explained could they just put the order through on the till showing we had paid the money. Just said we had to pay again in order to get food.

Didn’t have a care in the world and proceeded to look at the next person ordering. You should be ashamed of yourself coffee club no wonder you’re a failing business if that’s how you treat your customers.

Please don’t expect food or customer service but have your money taken from you.

If you’ll also look at the response from the owner (who clearly says they care about “customer service” in their mission statement.)

They don’t seem to particularly care when they get called out for bad customer service either. Can’t wait to see the restaurant replaced by something soon enough. If they had any knowledge of the situation or bothered to care they would know and read…. That I went up to the counter and they refused to put the order through but good job (anonymous owner 🤦).

Also clearly didn’t have the balls to comment on anyone else’s 1...

Date of 13 October 2024. The review reflects my personal experience and honest opinion. It's available on both Google and Instagram. I used to love going to The Coffee Club because the quality was consistent no matter the location, but unfortunately, this restaurant was a major disappointment. I ordered the "Create Your Own Omelette" with smoked salmon, spinach, and feta, along with a mango smoothie. The only part of the meal I enjoyed was the sourdough toast. The omelette itself lacked flavor—I could barely taste the smoked salmon, and it had an odd brownish color. Even after adding salt and pepper, it didn’t improve. To be honest, it would have needed a lot of sauce to make it palatable. The presentation was nice, but after a few bites, I couldn't finish it. The mango smoothie was also a letdown—thin, warm, and not refreshing at all. On a positive note, the ordering system was quick and easy, and the food arrived promptly. The restaurant was clean, busy, and the customer service was fantastic, which I appreciated. However, after this experience, I won’t be returning. Food Quality: 1/5 Service: 5/5 Ambience: 5/5 Value for Money: 2/5 Cleanliness and Hygiene: 5/5 Innovation and Uniqueness: 5/5

I was catching up with a friend before he had to fly out and since we hadn't been to Coffee Club for a while he suggested we have breakfast there... He ordered an Eggs Your Way (poached) with bacon, a Eggs Benny with Smoked Salmon plus 2 coffees... Coffee came fairly quickly... Meals took a little longer, which was ok as we had a bit of time anyway... He broke into his poached egg expecting the yoke to ooze over his bacon which he'd placed on top of his toast... Disappointment it didn't ooze... doh... I said return it and he thought about it and said it's ok... I then cut open 1 of my poached eggs on my Eggs Benedict... Disappointment again, it didn't ooze either... I was annoyed but couldn't be bothered sending it back but I certainly took photos so I could write a review... After we'd finished our breakfast we sat chatting for a little bit and usually we'd either have a juice and another coffee but we opted not to today... At a table nearby they had issues with their poached eggs not being right either, 1 said it was ok but 1 sent theirs back and asked for better poached eggs... We left before their breakfast came back out again...
