mad asian — Restaurant in Brisbane City

Was initially really impressed with the person taking our order. Went through the signs in front of you: the sizes, allergy's, with/without drink. However they failed to point out the card/paywave surcharge (yes it's stuck on the till however they brought all the other notices to our attention barr this one). Majority of the staff looked like they were having a marvellous time: cook, payment person, and ingredient-picker person. The finished serving sizes of the noodles (both 'large') differed greatly in their bowls. GREATLY. One was packed full whilst the other was almost, nearly 2/3 full. The other dish (rice) had a funny 'off' smell to it - you know the smell when you leave it in the rice cooker in humid weather where the humidity meets a closed environment... and it smells... off. The noodles were very broken (short short lengths), lacked flavour (not sure how they advertise it as a specific 'flavour') and were hella salty! Definitely BYO drink or purchase one, just remember they have a card /...

I only came on here to check the closing time and was honestly shocked at the low rating because my experience has been nothing but excellent. I’ll happily make the trip out to DFO just for Mad Asian.. it’s hands down my favourite spot there. It’s exactly what we did this afternoon. My go to order is the Singapore noodles with extra chilli and they get it perfect every single time. The food is fresh, flavoursome, consistent and such good value for money.

It’s always easier for people to leave a negative review than a positive one but I felt this was worth sharing. The service and food have never disappointed me. And let’s be realistic you’re in a DFO food court, not a fine dining restaurant. For what it is, Mad Asian absolutely...

A fantastic experience for our whole family at Mad Asian DFO Brisbane!

From the moment we walked in, Anita and Tino greeted us with such warmth and professionalism. Their friendly service made us feel right at home, and the entire staff was just as welcoming and attentive.

The food was absolutely delicious and authentic, every dish was full of flavour and beautifully presented. Our family loved every bite, and we could tell that a lot of care goes into both the cooking and the customer service.
