Inchcolm Bar: A Midweek Oasis for Cocktail Connoisseurs 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 (5/5) Earlier this evening, my partner and I decided to escape the Tuesday tedium with a spontaneous visit to Inchcolm Bar. We not only discovered some sensational cocktails but also found it to be the perfect midweek pick-me-up. Ambiance The atmosphere at Inchcolm Bar was nothing short of inviting. With its sumptuous lighting and plush seating, the bar blends modern design with vintage touches. The setting is particularly conducive for small groups of diners—perfect for 1-3 people—making it feel intimate but never overcrowded. The Cocktails Martini Limon First off, let's talk about the Martini Limon. This is not your grandmother's Martini; it’s something entirely more exciting. A blend of Gin, Dry Vermouth, and Limoncello, the Martini Limon was a dance of classic and contemporary flavours. Topped off with a twist of lemon peel, this cocktail balanced audacity with tradition in a seamless way. Cucumber Rose Next, the Cucumber Rose was like sipping a garden in full bloom. The cucumber-infused Tanqueray Gin and rosewater laid the foundation for a fragrant, botanical experience. St Germain Elderflower and Prosecco added layers of effervescence and sweetness. Aesthetically, the cocktail was garnished to perfection with a cucumber ribbon and a rose petal—worthy of a snapshot or two. Parfait Pairing To accompany our cocktails, we chose the parfait as a snack. The creamy, rich texture of the parfait complemented the complex flavours of our cocktails exceptionally well, rounding out the experience. Service Service was prompt and efficient, making our Tuesday evening feel all the more special. The bartender showcased impressive skills in cocktail crafting, which clearly shone through in each sip we took. Conclusion If you're looking for a midweek respite that promises quality and flair, Inchcolm Bar is an excellent choice. The atmosphere is tailored to small groups, offering a cozy but vibrant setting that sets the tone for an exceptional evening out. In my opinion, Inchcolm Bar has the magic formula down to a tee: magnificent drinks, delightful snacks, and a setting that invites you to unwind and enjoy. I’m already looking forward to our next visit. Cheers!

Postage stamp sized boutique hotel, thoroughly buffed and polished to a shine. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Kitschy, eclectic decor, and edgy, thoughtful artwork. Pieces by Enrique Rottenberg lined the walls leading to the bathrooms, and attentive scrutiny revealed the shiny silver eggs mounted on the fabric were in the hands of the gentlemen in the portraits. 28 seat dining room with a high ceiling, marble tables, linen napkins, not including the bar/lounge or outside terrace at the front. Cutlery and stemware of the highest quality. I would suggest the upholstered beige chairs unless you feel the need for a hard bistro seat. Cushions at least on the seat would be welcome. One intimate banquette under the “je t’aime/fragile” frame looks comfortable. Great cocktail selections, nice wine list including some lovely Australian vintages. A few vegetarian choices. The beetroot tacos are minuscule, and make the stainless steel rack look outsized. Delightfully presented, but bland. Order two just to start. The goat curd churros sounded really interesting, but heavy. Share one order. The pillows of delicious chive gnocchi were surrounded by lots of sweet peas, broccolini and radicchio, and topped with dots of melting cheese. Two salads are on offer: mixed greens, or a lovely version of a Caesar in a green emulsion with pistachios. Three desserts (available with matching cocktail), or a choice of cheeses with ample accompaniments. All of the serving dishes evoke an artisan potter vibe, low bowls with a glaze, tall asymmetrical bowls for a dessert, rustic slab for cheese. Highlighted the food beautifully. Noise level: Bistro loud, even half full. The bare wooden herringbone floors, marble and glass reflect sound. The music was a mix of hits from soft rock and pop of the past 4 decades. Not intrusive, but the room deserves something more distinctive, a curated list of jazz, roaring 20s or French bistro tunes, maybe. Service is finely polished. Staff is attentive and helpful. Always there to answer questions, or to refill a glass, or remove a plate, or slide cutlery for the next course. Highly recommended!

Spur on the moment decision to have dinner here. No reservation, single diner. Weird wait at the entrance - bar staff saw me, but continued in depth conversation about the intricacies of cocktail making with wait staff.... eventually cleared my throat loudly and was attended to. Waiter obviously quite new to the profession- happy, smiling, eager to help - but needed prompts at every turn. I felt insane for constantly asking for my water to be refilled. (Overheard from another table - Don't worry, we will have you trained by the end of the night). Parisian Baguette with whipped butter. Baked Jersey Brie. Rocket & Pear Salad. Food was fantastic - salad had a little too much dressing for my personal taste. Dessert - chocolate tart (I think) was amazing, presentation brilliant! Small dining room, lovely decor, perfect lighting, music at appropriate volume. I would visit again.

We went for NYE dinner & drinks. The ambience as soon as you walk in is so romantic & moody. The architecture & furnishings have a vintage look, making it feel like you've walked into a speakeasy in the best way possible. It was perfect for date night with a cozy atmosphere & dimly lit lights. My partner & I felt overdressed at first but after a while we started to feel like we matched the atmosphere & staff.

The cucumber rose cocktail was delicious & refreshing, the rest of the drinks were of course amazing & they didn't judge us for drinking whisky with coke instead of neat. We had mozzarella & tomato's on sourdough for a starter which just tastes so delicious even though it was so simple. For mains we had an eye fillet cooked medium & cauliflower steak, both with mash potato, caramelised onions & sweet sauce. Both were divine.

The workers were all very friendly & delightful, they clearly love their job which really shows & makes the experience that much better. They also encouraged us to explore the hotel at the end which was fun. The staff who was in charge of the bar bookings was really a stand out with his overall amazing attitude.

Overall the experience, food & drinks were definitely worth the price which I felt was fair for the quality. Would definitely recommend to a friend & will hopefully come again...
