I had arrived in Brisbane on the 30th of April 2022, and on the 29th of May 2022 I went to O Brasileiro restaurant with my friends, and there was a rat on my plate which was underneath the salad. I called the waitress, she removed the rat and called Poll, who is the manager. When he came, he said if I wanted to suit him or the restaurant, he wouldn’t worry about it since his lawyer was Consul between Brazil and Queensland. He didn’t even bother to call the ambulance to aid me and my friends, and he continued to serve the other customers as nothing had ever happened. I got his number, and later that day I got in touch with him because my friends had asked for refund on their credit cards but it didn’t work. Then he gave my phone number to his lawyer, then his lawyer called me during the next day, on the 30th of May 2022, from a private number, and ended up intimidating me to sign a Deed of Release. We had a meeting on the 8th of June 2022 at O Brasileiro, while during the conversation Poll, the restaurant’s manager, had asked me about how was it to live at Student One and how was it to study at Imagine Education, which got me really shocked and scared because I hadn’t told any of them where I was living or studying. That made me feel exposed and vulnerable. Then, feeling completely intimidated and helpless, I signed the document where they gave me a compensation of AUD 400.00 (FOUR HUNDRED DOLLARS). But the reality is that I had already spent more than AUD 2,500.00 (TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS) with consultations and exams (blood, poo, urine, liver), meetings with my GP, meetings with a psychiatrist, and also consultations with a psychologist. I’ve been dealing with anxiety and having panic attacks since the rat incident, the intimidation and the day I had signed the...
Read moreIf you're in the mood for some authentic Brazilian cuisine in Brisbane, then O Brasileiro Restaurant is definitely worth checking out. My recent experience at this restaurant was exceptional, and I'm eager to share my thoughts in this review.
Firstly, the atmosphere at O Brasileiro was lovely. The decor is simple yet elegant, with a touch of Brazilian charm. The lighting was just right, and the seating arrangement was comfortable. The restaurant was spacious, and there was plenty of room between tables for privacy.
Now let's talk about the food. I had heard great things about the Brazilian steak, so I went for it. It was cooked to perfection, juicy, and packed with flavor. The accompanying sides of rice, beans, and vegetables were also delicious, and I appreciated the generous portions. The menu has an extensive selection of meat and seafood dishes, along with vegetarian and gluten-free options. The prices are quite reasonable considering the quality and quantity of the food.
The service at O Brasileiro was fantastic. The staff was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. They were always available to answer any questions and ensure that we were having a great dining experience.
To conclude, O Brasileiro is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a delicious Brazilian meal in Brisbane. The food, service, and atmosphere were all top-notch, and I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a taste of Brazil...
Read moreHey folks...Have you ever tried the Brazilian food? If no, I suggest to try. My experience at O Brasileiro restaurant was positive, the food is always well served, the attendants are friendly, kind and they explain all plates for non Brazilians, this makes the difference. There aren't many options on the menu, but you can find some traditional meals like feijoada and escondidinho. The indoors of restaurant isn't too big, so you should arrive earlier to get a table, from 11:30am. Don't forget to order the açaí juice, it's delicious and I promise you'll really love it. Let's talk about the price, I noticed that it isn't affordable to go there many following times. This is not good, because I miss a lot the Brazilian food and I can't afford it every time 😅 At the end, I recommend to you order "Beijinho", "Brigadeiro" or "Pudim". I'm not gonna to give spoiler about the taste, but I'm sure you'll go back there to eat again.
One important thing to mention is you have to pay first to order and after that you have a seat and wait your meal. Somethings are adapted, because of the Australian culture, whereas at least the food wasn't...
