I recently visited this Japanese restaurant and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the sushi and sashimi. The freshness and presentation were clearly a step above your average Japanese spot. Sashimi was smooth, clean-tasting, and beautifully plated, showing that the chef takes real pride in both skill and sourcing. You can tell they use premium ingredients, and that’s probably why the prices are on the higher end but honestly, it feels justified for the quality you’re getting. The overall ambience is decent. It’s not overly fancy or dramatic, but it’s comfortable enough for a nice lunch or dinner out. The lighting and layout make it feel intimate without being cramped. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout the whole lunch, checking in at just the right moments without being intrusive, which definitely added to the experience. That said, there’s a little room for improvement. The tempura, for instance, could use some refinement. The batter was a bit thick and heavy, which took away from the light, crisp texture that tempura should have. It also didn’t come with grated radish on the side, which I personally think is a small but important detail that enhances the balance of the dish. Well, It’s a great spot if you’re after high-grade sushi and sashimi and don’t mind paying a bit more for quality.

天丼 (bowl of tempura on rice) and ć ć—å·»ćåµ (Japanese style omelet) was pretty tasty, but the staffs were always in a rush (looking around vigorously, bumping on to tables and not saying anything etc.) and made me a little bit uncomfortable. It might have been a busy time but I would like a more relaxed atmosphere. I ordered green tea ($3) and it came in a pot, but it didn’t taste like green tea. It tasted more like ēŽ„ē±³čŒ¶ (genmai tea) or 麦茶 (barley? tea). Also, minimum $25 for paying by card is not great.. But once again, food was good. Overall would like to rate 2.5, but seems like I can’t do that so I just rounded to 3.

The meal was nice and relatively well prepared. Here’s why I give three stars: 1. The service was not to restaurant standards. We asked what the banquet menus included and our wait staff weren’t able to explain what they were. We had to wait a long time to order (with menus closed and trying to make eye contact) for an unreasonably long time. 2. The price does not meet expectations. While the meals were delicious because of the service level and the reasonable meal preparation standards, they did not meet the expectations of an award-winning restaurant. I would probably look elsewhere for the sukiyaki experience.

It was wonderful experience to work here .Everyone treated me like a family. Won't forget all the good memories I made here🄰 I would like to share some ordering tips for special allergens and food types. For gluten free Entree: Edamame, garden salad, lotus root ask for gluten free soy sauce then sushi/sashimi platters become all gluten free. For bento, beef and onion/chicken teriyaki can be gluten free if requested. Teriyaki steak/salmon(request for GF), shogayaki(request), tebashioyaki

Vegan Edamame, garden salad, lotus root, hiyayakko, avo hand rolls/seaweed roll. zaru, yasaiitame without meat/seafood(request), oshinko moriawase, avocado sumiso, chukawakame

Vegetarian Most of the dishes are dairy free(milk-free). vege tempura, korokke, Egg dishes- tamago, chawanmushi(request to leave out prawn if needed), egg nigiri

Pescatarian sakana shioyaki(grilled mackerel), soft shell crab, deep fried octopus.hotate without bacon, agedashi tofu, sushi/sashimi, unaju, takoyaki, seafood basket, koebi karaage, maguro natto, kaki fry, ebi fry, most of the noodle section

For diabetes/Low GI sizzling plates(steaks, salmon) without sauce, tebashioyaki, wafu/teriyaki steak without sauce, sakana shioyaki, beef sashimi/tataki

For little kids, aburi salmon nigiri. It is 2 pieces of grilled salmon sushi, perfect portion.

Last, there is an ice cream dessert: green tea/black sesame/vanilla flavor. Not in the menu but served upon request Hope you enjoy your time here as...

Decided to go here for a Monday late lunch out of the office for a change of pace, ordered a chicken karage lunch set a go, took a while to get the waitress's attention away from eating in the corner of the restaurant.

Gave the order no problems and paid up, sat outside and waited.

Ordered at 3:00PM, now it's 3:58pm and no sign of food coming out, waitress is more interested in flirting with her co-worker and being a general ditz about it. Just as she's about to finish for the day and heads off, she looks at me and I give her the "hey where's my meal? it's only been 58mins" look while waving my table number, she just looks at me like I'm a leprosy ridden blight on the restaurant.

She promptly heads off without a care in the world, go up to the other co-worker who's just finished stroking his ego after his little flirt with the other previous worker. Tell him my story and ask for a refund as now my 1hour lunch has been spent sitting next to a table watching pigeons feasting on leftovers from another customer now dirty table, and now asking for refund. Have him give me the leprosy ridden blight look before grudgingly forking over refunding me, the wrong amount as well.

Will be sure to refer to the law of diminishing pigeons on restaurant tables the next time I choose a...
