Fantastic oaks hotel apartment in a prime area in Brisbane CBD, close to train station and Queen Street mall. This is one of many great hotels in QLD and one of my favourites. The rooms are very spacious and typical New York Apartment style. The beds, bathroom and sitting areas are also large and you can get a great view of part of the city if you are in a higher floor. The kitchen is pretty good and they have all the facilities if you want to cook your own meals. There is ample packets of coffee and tea for consumption during the day. The service is very good and checking in and out is seamless. They can also organise a car parking space for you. If you are travelling I would recommend Oaks hotels if you are looking for a change from a traditional 5-star hotel. The price is reasonable per person per night, so bear in mind that if you are more than one and staying for more than a night, it adds up, but otherwise the price is pretty good and affordable. I would recommend a stay at this hotel.

Rooms were cleanish but old. No views on the 6th floor. Only one elevator that took 15 minutes at times. No mini bar or room service at all. The wifi didn't work even though we'd paid a lot of money for it. The bed was two singles pushed together and was really hard and uncomfortable. Shower was small and grimey. Foxtel was at least working. Close to lots of good city restaurants and bars. But it's a long walk back up the hill to go home. I will be trying somewhere else next time

A very convenient place to stay with gorgeous views of the city. Loveky big terrace to enjoy warm evenings. Very central. The staff friendly and helpful. Administration was a different experience indeed. Unless you know how to use QR codes there is no way to know what facilities the hotel has. Nothing printed to show what facilities are available as in normal places. How much does it cost to leave a simple sheet of available facilities ? TV ? Only one channel available. TV channel 9. Why no Sky or Netflix ? Just as we were leaving we discovered that a warm swimming pool was available. Never saw anything about breakfasts being available. Kitchen in our apartment very poorly equipped. Did they buy their pots from a charity store ? No coffee making facilities other than instant coffee. After 2 days a kind young man at reception provided a coffee plunger, known as a French press in Aussi. Apparently he needed to go and buy it. One would have thought that for the price, they could provide coffee making facilities and simple things like salt and pepper sachets. "Sorry we don't provide that". Instant coffee, tea bags, sugar and tiny long life milk sachets were provided. We needed to buy dish washing liquid as only one tiny sachet of dish washing detergent was left under the sink. I rented a central apartment in Paris some years ago. Previous tenants left things like cooking oils, condiments etc for new tenants. I did the same when I left. Another suggestion for this apartment complex. We used 2 different apartments because of our travel arrangements. One apartment had no sink plugs. The other had sink plugs. In the second apartment, the water flow in the kitchen was just a dribble. Reception said the maintenance man was on sick leave. I wonder how long the water problem had been evident ? The terrace slding door in the 2nd apartment very difficult to open or close. However clients need to tell reception of any issue in apartments. Comparing administration with any cheap motel in NZ or the motel we used in Beaudesert, where coffee making facilities, well stocked things like salt, pepper, decent pots, fry pans available...this apartment complex " Could do better". Would I use this place again ? If they improved admin problems....Yes. $3,300 for 8 nights for 3 people, 2 bedroom, 2 bathrooms apartment. As aforementioned, the position is perfect. Administration and maintenance not...

My partner and I paid for an apartment for 2 nights and it was such a beautiful design, OAKS always has the best hotel rooms/apartments. We made so many wonderful memories while staying in Brisbane.

My only issue with this place was the air-conditioning, the airflow in the living room was fine, however the air-flow in the bedroom was honestly terrible. We had to sleep with a thin cover because it got quite hot, thats why im giving it 4-stars. We tried to adjust the vent as best as we could and even lowered the temperature down to the lowest setting to no avail.

Aside from that, we had a kitchen which was helpful and the balcony was so nice, the view of the street was great because it wasnt super busy, which meant we got good sleep. Would I ever come back? Absolutely, I would just make sure to come during winter or in the middle of the year where its cooler, and avoid coming in summer or in the hotter times...
