I WOULD GIVE NEGATIVE 5-STARS IF POSSIBLE! I have honestly never even thought about writing a negative comment before, but this place deserves it. We went as a family after a light dinner as we saw all the good ratings and were craving some nice seafood. Waiters were nice and food came promptly, noting that there was only one other table of people at this point in time. We ordered the crab and lobster, with a side of curry and rice. And boy, if you blindfolded me as I ate either of the seafood items, I would’ve tell you they were old tea towels. Dry, shrivelled up, bland - it was like the poor crab and lobster had been boiled out of their flavour and then boiled for another eon before being slapped on a plate and drowned with Cajun sauce/garlic butter sauce that resembles mildly flavoured water. Horrible, horrible, horrible. For the amount we paid, this should not be acceptable. Even if they charged a quarter of the price, I wouldn’t spare it a second glance. After asking to speak with the manager and being told there was no such position, the owner had also refused to speak to us despite the staff phoning ‘him’ twice. It was like the owner knows the food is terrible but wants to do nothing about it. Please respect yourselves and go to a real restaurant where the business actually cares about its food and its customers.

This review is 3.5 stars. We ordered the bug and the lobster bags to share between 6 adults. It was meant to be Cajun and sichuan chill flavours, but I ordered 2 Cajun by mistake using the tablet. The seafood was actually good. Fresh, sweet and delicious, better than many seafood restaurants I have been. The Cajun sauce was just right, correct consistency and seasoning, and has a good amount of heat. The chorizos texture was super hard but flavour was good. Gave this feedback to the staff and was given a free dessert. I appreciated the effort but sadly the dessert itself was not good at all. I found the Japanese food on the menu a very strange offer, doesn’t really fit into the style of the seafood. Perhaps some warm rusty bread to soap up all the delicious sauce instead. Also, service could be better. No introduction to the menu nor recommendations as we were new to the restaurant. Staffs were chatting to one another at time without noticing us calling. The waiter said nothing when our 2 bags arrived and got poured onto the table. Having said all that, I’m happy to go back again to try other flavours.

Food wise, their seafood has the decent size which I didn’t expect as other shops has small sizes. We did had a hard time with the snow crab. 😅 I don’t think it’s for us. The cajun sauce is just the best. It has just the right amount of spiciness on it which is a good choice for us. As for the price, it’s on the expensive side for a small portion. We thought we wouldn’t be able to finish it but we did. Maybe just reduce the corn and potato and add other kinds of seafood on it. We ordered the $149 one which includes chorizo and we just realised after we ate that it didn’t include chorizo. We got too mesmerized with the seafood itself and didn’t really noticed it. They’ve got great variety of drinks as well (alcohol and non-alcoholic). Staffs are all friendly and nice. We got great service and are accommodated well when we ate there. I hope they can do small portions of seafood on the DIY seafood section tho so we can add more variety on it. 😊

Not recommended!!!!!!!!!! We order whelk shell but they do not have the stock but no one tell us they do not have it, if we didn't find out , they will charge us without give us the whelk shell, nice scam restaurant! By the way, we wait for 1 hour for the food This is reply: First, we was keep calling you since 5:30 which is your open time to make a booking, but no one pick up the phone at all. Second, all the order go through ipad, we put the order through, we can choose the whelk shell and that what we did, we order DIY bag within choose whelk shell, and wait for one hour, during this time, no staff come to our table tell us anything, then after one hour, my friend was nearly angry, we call the staff, one male staff said another 5 mins maximum, then after 10 more mins, we call another female staff, she said 5 mins... and after total 80 mins wait, we finally got out diy bag on the table, the female staff bring the bag and put everything on our table, in the past 80mins, no one tell us about whelk shell was out of the stock, actually we didn't know, when we nearly finished, my friend just find out this was no whelk shell at all! So we asking female staff where is the whelk shell, she said no stock, i was confused and asked her why we still can choose the whelk shell option at the ipad, she didnt answer my question, if my friend didnt find out that , we will straight pay and walk away, i dont think the staff will tell us that whelk shell was sold out because staff even didn't remember what we order. By the way, whelk shell is 60 dollars. Here is my advice to everyone, please check your receipt when you pay, because not every restaurant will tell you what is not served, you need have a friend who has the best memory, otherwise you...

I'm not one to normally write bad reviews for any business but had been sitting on this since Saturday night. Party of 7 had arrived for a family dinner with a booking. The lady who had shown us to our table and had a few interactions with afterwards had barely a smirk on her face let alone a smile. We recieved zero bibs, not enough napkins or cutlery. Having been here previously where the service had been lovely, this was a huge disappointment to myself and my partner as most of the guests we had taken there were visiting that night from out of town. Frankly an embarrassing experience to have shown them to such a poor example of what our city has to offer. Another thing to note after having signs up saying you can't split the bill which was fine but then offering it at the register is a bit off putting - like which one is it? Have some clarification with your patrons.

Sorely disappointed having spent over half a thousand dollars for such subpar service. As for our main server of the night who was then at the register - you're in hospitality, a major component of your job is to try and be happy without looking like you're going to be in pain. If you struggle to do so you might need to be in a different industry. News flash, hospitality front of house is a customer facing job. You are literally 50% of the experience a patron/s would have with...
