Can’t really fault the food or wine, it’s consistently good even if a bit pricey. The service was a bit ‘meh’ last night. My partner and I were seated downstairs (have also sat upstairs previously). We were sat for twenty minutes before someone asked us if we’d like a drink (and by that time we were ready to order food too) even though 3 or 4 waiters/waitresses had been down in that time, they hadn’t come to our table to check if we’d like something until I managed to finally eyeball someone. They seemed too preoccupied on the couch area with four patrons. Only reason I’m not giving less than five stars is because the waiter (male with the shorter hair) was attentive and checked on everyone when he came downstairs to see if anyone wanted anything. So thanks for doing a great job! P.S. Just an observation as I was sat facing towards the outdoor door leading to the bathrooms…a lot of people were confused as to where the bathrooms were and got lost. You may want to get some better signage...

First time visiting the old seven for our staff Christmas dinner - it was quite an underwhelming experience overall. Extremely overpriced for what it is! Cheese platter came out for 6 of us which was hardly enough for 2 people it was actually laughable at. The jaffles really didn’t work very well flavour wise for my liking (and I’m not fussy) and why would you serve packet French fries with this dish it seems very cheap and tacky for what is being charged! The lighting downstairs was also so very dark making it hard to see menus that you have to turn your phone light on just to see. I wouldn’t recommend to to other people unless your just going...

This place is great for a chilled hangout with friends. By far the best toastie (or waffle, depending on where you're from!) I have ever had. The wine has always been reviewed well by the group.

Much bigger than you think, with space through the back, and I think more space downstairs.

Have now been a couple of times, and look forward to going again. Highly recommend the MacBeth.

The only negative I would say is that the seats we have sat in (sofas) have not been the most comfortable. They look great, but after sitting for a few hours, have left me a little sore. I am tall though...those in the average height range may have less...

A hidden gem that is The Old Seven. Small and intimate that exudes heaps of charm and good vibes through the honest and friendly service from the team here. A brilliant wine list by the glass or bottle with plenty of rotating specials on offer. They also have a couple of draught beers too and their back bar is the perfect example of less is more. Food offerings like jaffles and toasties are all on point. However, it's their charcuterie and cheese that really impresses. WOW and YUM is all you need to know. Generous and well priced too. This really is the house of good wine.

The Old Seven is one of those “must do” cafes in Brisbane. Very unassuming from the outside, the wonders that abound inside just have to be experienced. Whether for a long lunch or an afternoon session, The Old Seven is the perfect venue to enjoy time with friends and family. The jaffles are especially tasty and the wine selection quite generous. You’ll also find quite a selection of local beers on offer. The other thing that sets The Old Seven apart is the cheeses. So many cheeses it’s hard to know where to start! We’re looking forward to our next visit.

This is one place you must visit! The atmosphere is amazing and the venue is just perfect. We had a breakfast here without kids and I cannot wait to do it again. The food is out of this world, all the ingredients are of the best quality. The coffee was just Devine. The owner was incredibly friendly and happy to have a conversation with us. He took us on a tour of La Cave downstairs, our next night out is already planned for wine and cheese in this amazing setting
